Boating 2 - 3 days a week, and working at night. You're 17 damnit... these are the best years of our lives... And I'm 19. This summer should be even more fun for me...

I go through about $40 every 2 or 3 days, hell when I was in college it was double that. But how the hell am I gonna take a civic fishing or hunting. Plus since Ill probably have a boat this summer need the 150 to tow it. Besides trucks are cool, kids driving caddy's look like wanna be "G's"(dorks)

Get a 3 cylinder Geo Metro and keep the truck.

Get a dark tan and no insurance. If you get into an accident, run Jose!!

And while it may hit 160db a few inches from the driver, the threshold of ear pain is around 130 to 140 decibels, roughly equivalent to a jet engine at a range in the tens of meters. Eardrum rupture occurs around 160 decibels (conventional sound) to 185 decibels (nonperiodic blast pressure). But I'm sure you car will sound great.

No you don't. If you had money you'd be rolling in a new bimmer or benz. Period. Not a freaking 10 year old bimmer or 8 year old caddy.
well ofcourse i dont have money for a new bimmer or benz im 17. but what 17 year old do you know that does? for my age i got money. sorry i dont have the money you do because your an adult and have a full time job. but if it makes you feel tough getting on the internet and ripping on kids then go for it. whatever gets your confidence up i guess. and as an audio lover you must not know anything...ive been in cars that hit 155db and crystal clear...i know what sound quality is...im not talking audiobahn, kicker or rockford junk that gets distorted and sounds terrible. $500 or 600 dollar subs is what im talking about...re audio or rd audio...what subs do you have experience with? why you consider your self an audio lover? whats your set up?

So you have sat in a car, hitting 155db with out ear protection and were 100% comfortable?????

I call BS.

Edited to add:

I'd also like to see the manufacturers specs for this 15" sub you are looking at.....

Anything above 140db is dangerous and you will feel it instantly. Im around aircraft everyday and most of those engines are between 120 and 150 and without ear protection it gets unpleasant fast. There is no way those are the sound levels you claim you sat through

Bentley/Rolls may be a sign of money but not a sign of power IMO. Lets hook one up to tug-of-war with a truck and we'll see whos got the power
