Man, I have some horror stories.

I really don't mind be transferred to someone in India, but if I can't understand what they're saying, I just tell them to transfer me again and again until I can hear them clearly.

2 months ago, my monitor went ballistic, and it was still under warranty from Dell. I googled my monitor model, and find out that it is a very common flaw with a capacitor in this model. I also saw where Dell had stated that ANYONE with this model can have it replaced with no questions as long as it was within the 3 year time frame. I decide to try the "Chat with a tech online" feature.

I'll never do that again. I even gave the guy a link to his own company's page on this monitor, and he still insisted we disconnect the monitor, and let it go thru it's default mode, and so forth. (I spent 15 minutes trying to get him to understand that I was using my backup CRT monitor to "chat" with him and that my flat screen was dead. It was nuts.)

So while I'm doing this, I dialed the Dell CS Center on the phone, got Abdul from who knows where, and in 2 minutes, he was confirming my shipping address and sending me a replacement.

Now, I have a great deal of respect for you people who deal with us idiots for a living, because I would last about 3 phone calls before my butt would be kicked to the curb. There are days though when I have to question just how the heck whoever is "helping" me got their job in Customer Support.

Ehh... I just don't have any will to be productive today. I'm in strange/rare form at the moment.

I want to be somewhere else... not here. I need a vacation but, I've been banking all of my vaca days for the forthcoming baby...
