Since he had already came into that lane then the guy was going to make teh turn anyway, so he zipped in some where behind anyway.

The choice would have little to no real beaing on the outcome of anyone else except it would have prevented two people on the road drving defensively at the same time which incresed the chances of a wreck which would have greatly increased the wait time and inconvinced everyone including the people behind waiting to turn..

Thats 5 potential tickets that I am aware of.

That's true. I wouldn't have driven the way he did; but, he still wouldn't have come over on me. I don't think it makes him a jerk, either. Maybe a little excitable.

Really???

See I didnt read that he just sat there, I read that he slammed on the gas, spun his tires casuing the car to slide to the left which was good since the kid had already started to manuever infront of him so that let him swing around avoiding hitting the kid.

I agree as soon as he started to come over after I had told him NO, then I would have eased up some blocking him from completing the manuever.

But the kid originally failed to maintain his lane

I agree the kid was wrong too.
But I wasnt asked what I thought of the kids actions.

I hate freeway traffic... and I really hate the bastards that travel in the emergency lane and then cut over when the traffic opens up... I'm the bitch that has my truck half in the right lane and half in the emergency lane so they can't travel... Why should you get to cut people off... wait your damn turn... Geesh

No wittom you are not a jerk because i would have done the same damn thing... only difference is i wouldn't have looked over at the kid first, i always look straight Maybe that's because I tend to get the loser's that whistle and want to talk to me... so my eyes never wonder from the road in front of me...

The kid should have gone ahead and went straight, then turned around somewhere and come back the other way.

I really want to know... what is the emergency lane?

As far as looking ahead to ignore the hoots and hollers, I hate that!!!

I don't hoot and holler but if there is a something that catches my eye, I do like to smile and/or wink and/or nod and/or sometimes wave. Nothing worse and more aggrevating than being ignored.

She's talking about the shoulder, or the breakdown lane. Emergency lane is also correct.

Ok, thanks.
I have always called it the shoulder, I am familer with breakdown lane but dont recall hearing it called the emergency lane.

I've passed on the shoulder before but wife was in labor with our first child, it was an hour drive to the hospital (when driving normal) I had no intentions on delivering no baby, and was a little freaked out, so we made that hour drive in 20 mins......
