I'm doing some track days as soon as i get a suit. I'll join NESBA in January.
Everyone i talk to said, you learn more in one track day than riding all year on the streets.
What track you riding, Grattan or Gingerman?

I think you need a bike more appropriate for the track. LOL
I bet you still had fun though.
If the weather is dry on Saturday, I'll be heading down to our public track in WV on rt33 and rt50.

A couple months ago I went with a fe wguys from the office on a ride from Dallas up to Eureka Springs Arkansas. I rode one of my boss's bikes. It was a 2005 R6. He rode his 2005 Honda 1000rr Repsol edition. We had a bunch of harleys and one touring bike with us. My boss and I were having fun in the mountains and would have to wait for ther harleys to catch up. The talimena pass was awesome! Also the Ozarks up in norther arkansas are a great place to ride. We also had a new corvette go along with us. He carried the gear. I raced the vette on I30 and he beat me. the bike I was on would only do 167 indicated. Here are a few pics......

I'm surprised at what my sport-tourer (more touring than sport) can do. I would have never have thought I could scrape a peg considering how high off the ground it is...
Hopefully you get your day in. I can't wait for my next one!
EDIT: Dude, you should have seen the guy out there on his K1200LT. Talk about needing a more appropriate bike!!!
The day was sponsered by the BMW and other dealer so we have a great group of beemers, guzzi's, KTMs, it was a very 'diverse' group. --------------------
Nice pics Dave!

This for motoring: (Yamaha V-Star 1100)

This for excercise, racing, and fun: Trek 5200 (all carbon)

And a Trek 6500 For mountaineering:

Brother has the same Motorcycle as above, only his is all black, with saddlebags. Mom has same one, black, but a 650cc.
Mom and dad ride the Trek Madone 5.2 (same, but different shape of frame, and blue).
Mom and dad ride the same mountain bikes, but in different colors.
we used to all ride the Specialized Allez Sport (then I upgraded to the Allez Elite)
