Interesting find on my little drive home

I don't know what year this Ford is, but it's interesting. It's not my taste, but that doesn't matter. I see more than a custom built truck, I see a lot of man hours.

It's for sale. I stopped by to ask about it, and take these pics. The owner is selling the truck for about $19k. It has a 351, and a pretty hot cam (sounds friggin GREAT), the top has been chopped (obviously), suspension has been redone, it's tubed, and a lot more. It's clean, and there is a lot of detail. The pictures don't show it though. He is going to put it on Ebay, but Gary wanted to try and sell it to someone local first.

What are your thoughts?

Here's a picture of the seats.

Is that ostridge skin on the seats?

That apears to be a 1969 F100 body.

1970-71 was the same except gas tank was moved from behind the seat to under the bed and had body moldings doiwn the side. 1967-68 was the same only had a different grill. So could be a 67-68 with a 69 grill.

I would like it better if he had given it a more mild "resto-mod" treatment and kept the original profile of the truck.......

But the guy obviously put a lot of time and effort into it, and I'm sure he'll find a buyer who thinks it's the "cat's meow".........

Not my style. Obviously the guy put a lot of time and effort into it but I don't like lowered or chopped vehicles.

I agree with other guys If it wasn't chop it would look better it makes the truck to long. If it was a short bed it would look awesome. chop roof and long bed doesn't fit together.

I think he may be referring to that old car peeking out of the left side of the picture - not something peeking out of the side of the truck.

Gotta love the '67-'72 "bumpsides".

Dad's '71 with a '72 grill

That's a '67 grill. '69 had a larger horizontal bar going across the middle. The body moldings came from the trim packages and not the years per say. Also, an aux under the bed tank was optional, but all '67-'72 trucks had the in cab tank.

Everything you ever wanted to know about the bumps.

Yes I was......

That looks like a nice project.

I admire other peoples work, but to buy something is not likely, I'd rather find a blank canvas and make it the way I want it.
