I already have. I was giving my dogs each 1/2 can of moist food every night with their dry food. Now I cook a mixture of chicken, rice, veggies and egg for them. I make up a huge batch and bag it in individual baggies and freeze it. The dogs love it, they seem to be thriving on it and I know what's in it!!! They still get mostly dry food but I like to spoil my animals

I also went through all the dog and cat foods and threw out anything with wheat gluten in it whether it was on the recall list or not. Now I guess I'll have to check for rice protein

I made a switch on foods today... I'm now feeding WELLNESS. It's 100% human-grade... Habibi recommended it long ago to me... along with Fromms brand. TOP shelf stuff for your pooch.

I'm just sick of playing Russian roulette with this recall thing. It seems to still be snowballing and, as such, I'm going to step aside and let the snowball roll on by...

Rose I read the documents from the site you posted fom the FDA. Apparently the Chinese in their infinite wisdom use melamine as a fertilizer. If that is the case, I am sure that it is in human food too. Just hope they kept all that over there.

Yes it is scary, and now they think it may have been put in the products on purpose. Putting melamine in these products casues them to have a boosted protein content when they are tested.

Wonder if we shouldn't be banning all food imports from China.
