There have been some dry foods recalled. See my previous post, the Hill's Prescription m/d is a dry food. Their wet food of the same type was not recalled.

Look on the ingredients list on the dog food bag. If you see wheat gluten listed I would stop feeding it just to be safe. Wheat gluten was the stuff that was contaminated. Real good quality dog foods DO NOT contain wheat or corn gluten. I believe that stuff is basically a cheap azz source of protien Some pretty good brands of dog food are Nature's Variety and California Naturals.

Your fine. The problem was wheat glutton from China. To be sure though, follow the link Rose posted. It will give you all the info on what brands and types have been recalled.

Well the recall got expanded again. The chemical, melamine, was found in rice protein.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised, that this stuff isn't in human food too, especially in China.

Ugh... this isn't good. That pulls a constiuient of the food that I feed into the mix...

There's so much POOR data out there on the web about individual types of food that are recalled versus not recalled. For example, I've read on several sites that what I feed may have been recalled but, the brand's website doesn't list anything about it...

A little nervous on this now... actually, quite nervous.

Agreed RP.

I'm almost tempted to make a spot at the table and have Miaghe eat dinner with us.

That FDA site that Rose posted seems to be VERY current with the recalls.
