Just think if the mario brothers wouldn't have had brake problems team f150 probably would have won because even if they lost the challenge they would have been like what 15 min behind probably

Maybe, but the shortcut they took would have put them about an hour ahead of everyone.

It was a damn good run you had going there- no doubt.

To be honest, my biggest disappointment was in the running of the Bullrun events. In the beginning they involved skills and strategy, but the last several were just who had the fastest car. Pretty lame, boring to watch, and not even fair to the varied field of cars.

Team F150 got hammered a FEW times because the events were 100% speed (ie the "quarter mile" with a brick wall. Sigh).

Oh well, you did a damn fine job representing that F150!!

Good show. Congrats to Mike and his daughter. What a gutsy move on Jason's part for trusting in that dirt road...wow. But from the way Jason has been talking, it's not a complete loss to him...sounds like he's having some fun right now.

I guess I'm going to be the first to call BS!!! The times they put on the screen were wrong or they pulled a fast one on everyone including jason....

When jason's co-pilot got into the truck the time showed 1:10 and when he finished with 2:15, that sounded kosher. That means it took jason about 1:00 to run the course and put the truck in the stop area. It took the relay man about 5 seconds to get in and buckle up which means he ran the course in about 1 minute, sounds reasonable.

1 minute first leg
10 seconds to change drivers
5 seconds to get in and buckle up
1 minute second leg

= 2:15 total time

NOW when the second mario brother got in the car it showed 1:18 on the clock and it took him approximately the same amount of time to buckle up and go. So that means the first one ran the course in approximately 1:08 or so and the 2nd guy ran it in 37 seconds!!! I don't frikkin think so!!!!

1:08 first leg
10 seconds to change drivers
5 seconds to buckle up
37 second second leg
= 2 minute total time
= horse crap!!

AND it showed the total times at the end of the show:
TA = 4h 33 min
Olds = 4h 42 min
F150= 6h 40 min

at the challenge the last place was 2 hours 6 minutes behind second place AFTER the second leg where they took the shortcut they only shaved off 8minutes???? again I DON'T FRIKKIN THINK SO!!! Alsop clearly said they were about an hour in front of them after they told them on the nextel about taking the border trail.
There were no time bonus on the second leg to give jason a chance to make up the time, The shows producers were NEVER going to let a truck win this and when it came down to the wire, they stacked the odds to make sure it didn't.

They should rename the show to "Bull*****"

Jason, even though you got hosed you still won in my book. Everyone knows you smoked the olds in both legs and the challenge.

I'm with Smokey - BS. I thought the exact same thing on the challenge... the olds clock showing 1:18... DAMN, the F150 beat them. I was AMAZED. Then suddenly the Olds wins????

Alsop definitely said the F150 was an hour ahead... hmmm them numbers don't add up very well...

I couldn't quite figure out the times for the last leg myself when it was said they shaved at least an hour off.

That's editing for content for you.

I'm sure what we saw and what was reality probably differed quite a bit sometimes. Makes for better TV and casual watchers are usually never the wiser.

Strong showing Jason! Too bad Ding & Dong waited until that moment to finally try to fix their car.

You played with integrity, the Bracken guys will pit crew for you anytime!

Can you imagine in any other race pulling over for brakes? The rule should have limted how far behind you could come in on a leg... it's about navigation, right? They were sandbagging and they knew it. The brakes didn't make any change... makes you wonder if Jason was set up with the 2 hour delay and when he won the challenge the producers didn't have to go back and re-rig the failed rig.

This and the Ultimate Fighter have been the only reality tv shows I have cared to follow. By now most tv viewers know there is little reality in these shows. What gets me is when they do a special behind the scenes show after a few seasons and you find out that what they cut out was better tv drama than what they kept in. I wish they would just edit for content and time and let the viewer see an actual reality show. IMHO when producers manipulate a supposed reality show to conform to what they think is good tv it cheapens the whole thing. It’s just a shame that the rules (or the editing) were set up to allow for teams to intentionally NOT race.
/Rant off
I thought Team Wallace did a good job and had a great strategy throughout the race. Congrats to a good run and to team Alsop for taking it all.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he said "that puts us 2 hours behind" at one point during that conversation? because of their positions them not being in Yuma yet, while the F150 was on the other side of Yuma
