Seriously thinking about a 225 HO E-TEC for my bass boat.
Cha-ching! Score another one for the E-Tecs! I want a 200 E-Tec in a bad way. BREW hates em though.

I like the Etec's as well but they don't make them in a 150.

Yeah, but that's merely a recommendation. I'm glad my bathtub toy is rated for a 200

A recommendation if I'm not in any accidents/incidents, something happens and the first thing they'll get me is on that and I'll be at fault no matter the circumstances.

Alright get a 200 and put a 150 hood on it.....

How was you to know???? You are not required to dyno it, your just suppose to go by the numbers.....

Yea I like my OD rating more and more..... There is no limit for the HP and ford aftermarket boltons are easy to come by to keep adding more and more HP..... my only restriction is 1200lbs of people and 300 lbs of gear......

I used to run Yamaha Pro-V's in the 1980's and 1990's, and it would outrun most Johnsons and Mercs.

Back then, never thought I would ever consider an Evinrude...

Spent the entire day in a bass boat with a new E-Tec 200 last summer - THAT was enough to sell me. The performance is awesome. I have a heavy boat, and I like the comfort of that, but this got out of the hole faster than any motor I have seen, and was smooth and had plenty of power when up on plane.

Matt, it's hard to say ho much weight you need and where. The best thing to do is bring a cooler with you and fill it with water and move that and some people around the boat until you find the best wake action..

I have taken a test drive in one. It IS nice, but I still prefer the E-TEC.

Have an '05 Ranger Z-20 with dual console. Really like the way the E-TEC would look on the boat, and the colors on the boat and motor will look awesome together.
