Im in a hell of a situation myself...and i too, was about to post a thread...But the problem with mine isnt me or the girl....its her brother thats DATING my older sister.... I guess he is "weirded" out about brother and sister dating brother and sister....And just happens that the girl im seeing is a very very considerate girl and is a pleaser...so she will do whatever her brother wants just to keep him happy. But, its not over yet...jsut kinda messy....And i just hope im playing my cards right. (i guess i am since her friends and parents think so).

Haha, I already sent her a few messages like that...She seemed to get upset, too, giving me the "fine, I am glad you have another girl" speech, even called me upset about it...So at least I can touch a nerve with her...An ex left me a comment on myspace to forget about her, and she writes this big rebuttal telling me how she cares more for me than that girl ever did and things like that...It's getting weird, but it is looking more and more everyday that I may be able to at least salvage some hoopie patch out of this...
trytokeepup, you be dang careful when you're playing your cards, because every time I have witnessed the friends and family agreeing with what you are doing, it has blown up, keep a close eye on the situation, but don't screw up and lose you patience and be 'mean' about it, you're screwed for sure, then...Keep us updated on what is going on, I am interested, and I iwsh you all of the luck in the world...

Well I'm sorry to hear it played out like it did. I guess I gave her more credit then I should have. So she also agreed to having spent time with her ex, and it wasn't her ex just saying it? I mean, b/c if it's just the ex then you would have to expect him to say that. But congrats on keeping a cool level head and being an adult with him.

Regarding going back to the girl with the ex. I don't think that would be a very good idea. I mean that's like me slapping you in the face and saying enjoy it because I do it to all my friends. Do you really want to hang out with someone that's always slapping you in the face? Probably not, so don't go back to someone that puts your pickle in a meat grinder.

I suggest trying to forge a friendship with you ex-wife or whatever she is for your daughters sake. Who knows, maybe it'll turn into more, but at least it turns into a civil friendship and will hopefully prevent your daughter from growing up to be like the girls that are around you. Honestly think about it. Is your daughter maybe 4 or 5? Think 20 years from now and imagine what she'll be like. We she turn into the girl that is dating multiple guys and sending them crazy text messages? You don't want that for her, and I'm pretty certain you don't want that for yourself or your conscious.

It sounds like what ever crowd your looking in or circles you are dating in, they're not good ones. Sophisticate yourself to take the higher road and be a mature adult like you have lately with your current situation. Just don't stoop to their level. Find a hobby. (that is not related to women hunting)

In that hobby you'll find a girl with the same interests and you'll hit it off. Maybe a girl from a different town or lifestyle. Then you have a better chance of having a "normal" relationship with someone who shares common interests with you.

Just remember to try and be the better person. Don't get mad or upset with the other person, just feel sorry for them. They don't see the bigger picture that you are, and they're not going to find that inner peace that you'll eventually find.
