Would you buy a SuperDuty?

Evidently, keeping a real time view counter on threads eats ram.
It's almost impossible to have 13 views and 12 replies.
I viewed it twice myself without replying.
I love my truck---but a 250 would also cost me more in either gas or deisel---I would not get a 250 with the 5.4---so, I would either get the V-10 or the 6.0 deisel---what I am using my truck for now---I would stick with a 150.

I bought a new F-250 SD lariat in 2002 with the 7.3 PS. Our intentions were to tow a 5er and do some traveling. I should have got the F-350 since it was rated higher for towing even though they were practically the same truck. But legally speaking, you could tow more and not get a ticket. But, our plans changed. My wife's idea of traveling includes room service, jacuzzi, sanua's and someone else to clean the room. But I loved that truck. Fuel filter was easy to change. But I didn't like paying for 16 qts of oil when I serviced it. And when it got down to 20-30 below zero, better have it plugged in and even then my neighbors complained about the smoke big time, and the noise. So I traded in for the truck I have now. But man the thing would haul butt and to me it felt so nice on the highway. It was just to much truck for a daily driver.
Well i will be the candy a$$..... No i would not, i just got rid of my f150 and was ready to get a king ranch f250 then I drove one. To me, and it is my opionion, it does not ride as good as my f150 and parking is more difficult.
The f350 rides even rougher. I do to many road trips to drive something so rough.

No -- I have no practical use for a Super Duty.
In fact, my F-150 is really too big as far as I'm concerned. I'm so used to driving my Ranger everyday that when I get into my F-150 I feel as if I'm driving a Freightliner down the highway......

Hell yes I would!
Problem is, I'd need a $52,500 check for a 2008 F-350 Lariat, 6.4 TT Powerstroke 6 speed crew cab short bed 4x4. Black on black.
But, seeing as how that isn't going to happen for at least 5 more years (damn college), I will be buying a F-2/350 7.3 Powerstroke 6 speed at the end of the summer.

I'd buy a Kia Rio for $6990 and keep the change.
Nah, just kidding. I'd probably buy a nicely equipped (Lariat) F-250 extended cab with the 6.0L PSD. Do I need it? No. Is it cool? Yes.

If money wasn't an issue, yes I would have one. they are great trucks, and with some cash and good taste they can be made to look really awesome.
Parking isn't that big of a deal to me, and driving them isn't either. If you can't handle a 250/350, you don't belong driving anything!

Looks like I live out some of you guys dream. I use mine to tow a 5vr, around the farm and as a daily commuter. Kids love the extra room and I have driven 4x4's since the mid 80's, so I really don't notice the ride.
As for pricing, you guys could of bought my truck for what the F150 cost during the employee pricing. I was looking for a new F150, and got the F250 for much much less than $49k.....
