Yea much better than my scene.....

Those are my front yard.....
There is not a tree that does not have damage or is destroyed.

The storm is suppose to be over now, but temps are not suppose to get above freezing until thursday. So we will continue to have branches falling, and power lines going down atlesat till then. Still no power here, day 4 for us. hopefully a few more days.

Have fun everyone I'll be back in full force soon.

They are also telling everyone not to expect service til tuesday maybe wednseday.

The town is also out of kerosene, and gasoline is getting scarce. Many stations are out.

Tomarrow I've assemebeled a crew of volunteers we are going to grab the chainsaws and start clearing roads, what we can safely, so the utility crews can get through and do thier job. I had to move alot, drive over and through alot of down trees, limps and debris just to get around today. I'm sure lots of new scratches on the old truck now.

glad you and the fam are doing ok. Awesome that you got a bunch of folks together to start clearing..... keep us posted....

and damn, i originally scrolled thru a few pages to tease ya about the hotties!!! oh well, i'll just have to wait for ya !

hey all, we are still alive!!!!
Hey zoo, glad to see you back again. havent heard from you in a while!

Still no power, I'm sick of waiting......
I know I'm not teh only one, and there are people with special medical needs that need it too for the oxygen and such. (granted if my life depended on it, I'd have a generator if I had to steal one..... LOL) It's just hard being patient while having to go to someone elses house to shower do laundry or any day to day task. Never realize how much we depend on electrcicty till you have to make your own.
Water has come back on, so now it's just waiting on power so that is a relief.
Fireplace is doing a pretty good job it has got to below zero the last two nights and teh house hasnt dropped belowe 60 degrees at any point and that was only whhile I had the door open bringing in wood, but maintaining 70-75 most the time.

I'll be back harrasing you guys just as soon as I can.

Later
Matt

I think the total ice was 1"+....

Those were all soft wood trees, the oakss, hickorys and walnuts held up some better...

I did manage to snag a small generator today, "cheap" thanks to my inlaws for taking it off the shelf and holding on to it for me til I got there. Now we have a fridge, coffee maker, tea maker, some lights, can charge batteries, and hopefully my dad can do some elctrical miracle and get it to run the hot water heater tomarrow.... hopefully......
