Ohh yea, 97 is the second generation of Exploders, so happens is our second one too, first one happened to be a 1st gen, now looking at buying a 3rd generation. (94^)

Honestly dont know whay people call them that, this one has 150K miles on it and I only thing I've had to do is 1 transmission and 1 set of ball joints. I dont even change the oil in it very often.

Yup, heres my old '91 4x4 5 speed with 160,000 miles... I got it at an auction for $875 in Aug. 2005. I have since then sold it and got my newer rig.

Yea, thier nick name is Exploders, but ussually must be driving one or atleast a Ford product first, other wise it's taken as derogatory.

if memory serves something to do with the higher possibility of the gas tank exploding during a severe rear end collision.
