My aunt has a 01 mountaineer........

She doesn't have the code to use the little buttons by the doorhandle to open the door. Is it on the vehicle anywhere?

More than a bit! The comparisons are amazing. Just a Cajun version.

I missed the irony.... can someone clue me in?

On the mounty, the code for the door pad (assuming it's the factory hard-wired door pad and not one of the stick-ons) is on the RAP module. Open the tailgate, open the jack storage compartment on the left side, and look up inside the compartment towards the front of the opening. There will be a white box with a white sticker on it. You may need a mirror-on-a-stick to see the numbers, but it's there. The code is on the sticker.

Good luck!

-Joe

I bet you have to go to the dealership and have it reprogramed. Sounds like you need a new code.

I'm not about to sit here and read all 40 pages... was there something controversial in there, or do the first two posts sum it up?

Aaaah, OK... now I see the parallels there.... I ended up just avoiding any discussion having to do with Mattineer or any of his AKAs. It just wasn't worth my time...

I don't hear him denying anything either....
