Just give me a phone. No text messaging, no internet, no music, no camera, no video, no gps, no walkie talkie, no flavors etc etc.
All I want is something that doesn't break down, has a good battery and great voice quality. So take all that BS technology/features that I don't want and give me a good solid phone. You could add an option that gives me the ability to send 10,000 volts through their phone when using it in a restaurant/bar, in line at a store, in a movie theater, in their car when using something other than the right lane and when in earshot of the walkie talkie ringer.

While I'm not shocked that Apple went with AT&Tingular, I believe that they will be regretting that decision in 2-3 years. VZW's next installment of broadband service (due in a year) will make this EDGE capable phone seem like a redheaded stepchild. If I were an AT&Tingular customer, I wouldn't buy this first installment of the iPhone, seeing as how it only has a battery life rated at 5 hrs talk time. And that is not even considering use of the device for WiFi access, iPod use, etc.
Kudos to Mr. Jobs on this breakthrough product, but as with most "firsts", this one would be better suited to wait for version "1.5".
