We are talking "National" title here right? Then how about Boise State??They are 12-0...Why not two undefeated teams from the top 10 finishers?

Sounds like you're worried about the rematch on a neutral field.

Michigan has already played, Florida hasn't. Let them play, let Ohio win. Florida is my team but we'll need a whole lot of prayers to beat Ohio.

What on earth do I have to worry about???
My life does not hinge on who wins or looses any sporting event...I just stated my thoughts on it. But once again I must ask, why let Michigan play if they have already lost to the Buckeyes once??
I don't agree with the "rematch" syndrome..

Isn't the idea of a 'National Champion', the winner of the BEST TEAMS?

For me, the BCS title game should be the #1 vs. #2 in the nation, as it is now, with this added caveat: the teams ranked #1 and #2 (and thusly the entrants to the BCS title game) MUST be their conference's champion. It only stands to reason. If you can't win your conference, you shouldn't have a chance at the national title. So, using that logic (and, hopefully, the voters for the Harris Interactive and USA Today Coaches' Polls are doing just that), Michigan has no business in the national title game. They couldn't win the Big 10, so they're out. Florida won the SEC, they should be in.

I've been a Gator fan forever, I hope FL gets their chance. We will all know this evening when the BCS announces the results
Well, kids, the USA Today Coaches' Poll is out, and UF is 2nd. Barring split human polls, UF is in the national title game, regardless of what the computers say. GO SEC, THE REAL college football conference. Everyone else is tu-tu wearing fairies.

Ohio State and Michigan have already played. If they wanted to play for the National Championship, they should have beaten Ohio State. If Florida goes and beats Ohio State, are you still going to say that Michigan is the #2 team in the country? Without a true playoff, we probably will never really know who has the best football conference.

And as for #2, I'd love to let any team from any other conference come and play in the SEC. I guarantee that OSU, Michigan, etc. couldn't go through as easily as in the Big 10.

2.
1. Ohio State (65) 12-0 1,625
2. Florida 12-1 1,529
3. Michigan 11-1 1,526
4. LSU 10-2 1,365
5. Louisville 11-1 1,333
6. Wisconsin 11-1 1,255
7. Oklahoma 11-2 1,232
8. USC 10-2 1,182
9. Boise State 12-0 1,097
10. Auburn 10-2 1,020
11. Notre Dame 10-2 939
12. Arkansas 10-3 867
13. West Virginia 10-2 865
14. Virginia Tech 10-2 798
15. Wake Forest 11-2 766
16. Rutgers 10-2 631
17. Tennessee 9-3 576
18. Texas 9-3 564
19. Brigham Young 10-2 436
20. California 9-3 390
21. Texas A&M 9-3 379
22. Nebraska 9-4 193
23. Boston College 9-3 179
24. Oregon State 9-4 112
25. TCU 10-2 80
The SEC has 5 teams in the top 25. The Big 12 has 4 teams in the top 25 and the Big 10 has 3. That is what I counted and I just counted very quickly so I might have missed some. I guess since the SEC is the best conference it just makes sense that your prediction #3 was wrong. Florida will play Ohio State in the NC game. I will guarantee you that both teams will bring their best game and Florida is playing very well right now.
Hopefully the best team wins and hopefully that team just happens to represent the SEC, the best football conference in the land.
