Check out this Camaro...

Now, I know some of you are going to say "yuck" just because you don't like anything that doesn't bleed blue, and some of you won't like the look, but this is very close to what I was originally planning on doing with my Camino. I however wanted the wheel centers to be black, and the body would be two tone with black on top...

I still like the look. This isn't something I see every day. Normally with big wheels its some gawdy design, and a jacked up look...

However, I will just be upgrading suspension and drivetrain on the Camino... Going to save my time and money for trimming out the Belvedere, and probably starting a '51 Chevy restoration for the wife... If I'm going to have a cruisin' buddy she at least needs to have her own car...

The hood doesnt flow well with the car. But other then that it looks really sharp
My roomate/friend used to have a 71 RS that looked like a Z28. Painted in dodge viper blue, with white racing stripes on it. Absolutley gorgeous car. Too bad he had to let her go. Now hes got a 400+ 2000 Camaro SS.

I don't like the "painted" wheels... Shaved door handles and no mirrors ... Although I love his work (in most areas) I smell Chip Foose.

I think it (The silver & black one) would be downright sexy with some chrome rims, or machine finished, in the exact style... I can't believe I'm gonna say this ('cause I HATE black rims) but, with that chrome lip, black rims woudl loos sweet on it too.

My older cousin had two Camaro's like that when I was a young'en... She had a blue one with the stripes just like the one above, and a burnt orange looking one, complete with 4 round tail lights (Like the Vette).

I agree about painted wheels. Normally I only like polished and such. But a certain few wheels (WITH CHROME LIP) look sweet...

Like this...

I'm REALLY wanting an early 70's Camaro now...

IMO

You can paint just about any vehicle with a grey and black scheme and it will always look good to me. A lady I work with has a PT Cruiser, and it looks good the way its painted.

Looks good, and I like the wheels. I used to have some American Racing wheels just like that on a 1965 Galaxy 2 door hardtop. It was Iroc blue and was very sharp. I built it for my daughter's high school car, then I got it back later.

The first one looks like a 70.5 split bumper Camaro. Anyone know for sure the year?

I believe that is a 70 1/2.. my friend just got his painted, exact same colors. Looks gorgeous. He is working on a 450 hp carburated LS-2 with a 6-speed, and a little nitrous just for fun.. can't wait to see that when it's done.

Yea, gorgeous car.
