I used to never miss the awards but the last 4 years or so, they just don't have my kind of music. It is all too much Nashvegas. I listen to old country and Americana now.

Sara Evans

Carrie Underwood (I love her new song...)

I haven't seen it yet, but my understanding is that when Carrie Underwood won Female artist of the year, Faith Hill had a conniption fit.

I cant really put why, but I just don't like carrie underwood. I like the new song, but just wish someone else sung it so I could enjoy it better. Prolly the same reason I don't like rascal flatts (thanks for ruining life is a highway for me guys) and keith urban (go back down under and drink there).

Actually I'm just not likin the pop country. Gimme the classic/solid gold.

Couldn't agree more, as Shooter puts it...Let's put the O back in C_untry.

As far as Faith Hill, I was watching her sub-window when they announced Carrie had won. I'm not so sure that she wasn't just playing it up. Don't know though, but that was my thought.

I tried to cut Miranda Lambert some slack on the rap song she performed. That was until she bashed the guitar. I can't tolerate the destruction of instruments in the name of art. Just stupid. I was working on a project so did not see all of it, but the only redeeming parts of the show for me were the induction into the Hall of Fame for several of the old guys and Vince Gill's performance. Most of this so called country has gone too far "show biz" for me.

Not that I know of, but it is possible. Just refers to the sell out of Nashville. So much is about the bottom line now instead of the music.

Nashville Pop....that is all that garbage is.

I quit watching the CMAs a long time ago.

In 1999 when they told George Jones he couldn't perform his whole song so some young snot who is gone now can do their's I checked out. When Alan Jackson sang George's song for him that night and then walked out he cemented himself as one of my favorites.
