Dude; I can't stand that. ARGH!!!

Yea, and CMAs are a waste of time. I've been listening to Country my whole life, but lately I find myself listening to the classic rock station on the radio more than anything. Country these days is in the pooper.

Yeah, it was on the news this moment... She had a Kanye moment... (I still can't believe he did that at the Grammy's that year, when Gretchen Wilson won Best New Artist, but, as we later saw, that was just the tip of the iceberg, LOL)

Yahoo News- http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061107/...s_faith_hill_8

NEW YORK - Faith Hill insists she's no Kanye West. The country music superstar says she was just joking when cameras showed her screaming "WHAT?" in apparent anger when she lost the female vocalist of the year award to newcomer Carrie Underwood at the Country Music Association Awards on Monday night in Nashville.

"The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me," Hill said in a statement. "For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year."

Media outlets and blogs zeroed in on Hill's reaction after Underwood's name was announced at the ceremony. While other nominees — Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, Martina McBride — gave the typical gracious loser smile, Hill, who was standing backstage, turned to the camera and shouted "WHAT?"

Although her voice could not be heard, it was clear from her lips what she said. She looked visibly upset and then it looked as if she was storming off. The incident has been replayed endlessly on sites like YouTube.com.

However, Hill said it was all a joke, and her manager, Gary Borman, echoed that: "I've worked with Faith for many years now and the idea that she would ever insult or undermine another artist, let alone another human being's success is absolutely preposterous. Those who know her know that she's incapable of such actions," he said in a statement.

"She was being playful while the nominations were being read and playful after."

Underwood also didn't take it seriously, according to her publicist, Jessie Schmidt, who said that Hill spoke to Underwood after the show and that the two were fine.

Underwood, the 2005 "American Idol" champ, has become a triple platinum success since releasing her debut album late last year. Hill is a longtime darling of country music with crossover pop appeal.

This is the second time in less than a week that an awards show loss has resulted in an (apparent) on-camera freakout by a loser. Last week, Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards and interrupted the speech of the winners, claiming his video deserved the honor.

Didn't see it but have read about it. Her comment, upset facial expression, leaving abruptly and refusing interviews was all a joke. ??????????????

Her and Kerry need new writers if they continue to be comics.

You remind me of a song by Dallas Wayne, "Your Biggest Fan". You need to find that and give a listen.

I don't think Faith is that stupid to be serious in her expression. However, that joke was in bad taste and a dumb thing to do.

Though her pacing around and nervously smiling doesn't seem to be the nature of someone who was joking around.

For those saying Miranda is hot....have you not seen the beer tub belly on that girl? Those hips, thighs and belly are hollering KFC and beer...not sexy lady. Just my opinion though. Her last BF must have really messed up b/c every song she has is about some guy cheating or leaving her.

Underwood though is looking like quite the cute lady after getting in shape and losing some weight.

Carrie >>> Miranda. In every way: looks, singing ability, stage presence. Miranda Lambert would have gotten a "utterly horrible" from Mr. Simon Cowell. She can't carry a tune in a bucket.

/rant.

I'm gonna say it like this...

If a lady (Mirando, Kelly Clarkston, Kelly Pickler, etc..) is in your presence undressed, and of all the items available for your enjoyment, the only thing one focuses on is her stomach, hips, arms, or whether or not she's carry a few extra pounds in certain places, then apparently, someone has some of their own inadequacies and is preparing a retalitory statement for when his 45 seconds are over. Or, someone doesn't have their priorities straight...

Just my $0.02

If we meet on the street and she has severe dunlap, then that's one thing, but if I don't see it until she's disrobed, we've passed the PONR. Add a notch to the belt.

Aw baby, I would have done better, but when I looked down and saw your gut, I lost interest...

Miranda finished 3rd on Nashville Star and you won't ever see Simon as a judge there.

TRUE! I certainly wouldn't kick Miranda L. out of bed for eating cookies, but of the two, Carrie is hotter to me.
