No telling what his intentions were. May have just been a publicity stunt. The guy is a nut. I am a Cowboy fan and am fed up with hearing about him. I could not believe it when they signed him and still can't. It is such a waste of talent.

The stress of that 25 million dollar contract finally just broke him down.

If he wanted to commit suicide then he could have done by now. It's just a cry for attention.

I normally don't call out BS on many stories, but this one is just screaming it. Given Terrible Owens past history, I sure wouldn't put it past him to pull this stunt.

TO: "Here, my anonymous friend, is $250,000. My career isn't so hot right now with my broken finger and all and I need some publicity since I can't make it on the field. Just fab up some story about me overdosing and stretch it as far as suicide."

Anonymous Friend: "You got it Terrible Owens. What's ESPN's number?"

Why can't he just ride a motorcycle without a helmet like other players?

While the mere attempt at such a task is very serious, I tend to concur with your opinion. The guy has some problems -- way beyond the NFL -- and this was an attempt to get attention. I hope he is able to see someone about this. Depression/anxiety etc is really a very serious thing.

To bad Drew Rosenhaus didn't join the party. I love T.O.'s work ethic and skills, hate the look at me attitude. It wouldn't upset me at all if he never played pro ball again.

I heard on CNN a couple of miuntes ago he got his supplements mixed up with his pain killers. He was with a women in is home and she got his pills for him. It wasn't a cry for attention or publicity. I'm a Cowboys fan and can't stand the guy off the field. Give the guy a break. No one on here talks about the Bengals linebacker being arrested for DWI after being already suspended. No one is talking about the Chargers safety who was charged with possession, possesion with the intent to distribute, and felony trafficking.

Those two cases are completely different, there is proof and evidence against the both of them. Granted at this point everything is speculation against TO, there are a lot of unanswered questions and opinions on what is really happening here. Yes, I am guilty of that I'll admit. But there is still that thought in the back of my mind whispering, "BS."

Besides, how many more pills of "supplements" than painkillers do you take at once?

I do believe that the media has just run with this story and blown it way out of the water. The supplement story sounds likely, but it's no surprise that the media would spin this for the headlines. This kind of thing happened with CBS.

If you can't distinguish a painkiller from a supplement, you are in pretty bad shape.

He needs to seek help from a doctor. In order to do something like this he is asking for help. His family or friends should be extreamly concerned and should pay very close attention to him.
