I was going to protest and complain that nothing could be further from the truth and that in making such statements you guys hurt my feelings but then realized that this is a trap and acting in such a manner is exactly what you are expecting me to do. But I won't fall for it. Besides, I've got better things to do, chores and what not. Can you believe it?!?! My illegal alien maid bought the wrong kind of wine!!!! How am I supposed to have a Provence Themed dinner party with nothing but Italian Mezzogiorno on hand?!?!?!?! This sucks! Now I gotta go to the damn store and buy the proper wine. I am sooooooooo going to have to squeeze in an extra session my therapist. Damn it!

I do tech support, I understand completely. I find Yankees (you know who you are north of the mason-dixon line) are the worst to deal with though.

Who do you work from Jamz?

Alot of times I want to answer like this:

"W-H-A-T DO YOU WANT NOW ! ! ! "

....but, I have to be "nice". This job is what makes me NOT want to go to public places.

I'm always nice when I have to call tech support, or anywhere for that matter. In fact, I always end up having pretty nice conversations with most.

I generally find the cable company techs to be morons (present company excused of course)

I call in when my service is down. I've already rebooted the PC and the router. Yes I have powered off the modem.

If the cable modem link is down the following will not help.

Ping attempts
ipconfig /release
a 50th reboot.

I now just lie to them...

"Yes I am rebooting..."(wait a minute)
"Nope that didn't help."
Follow their ipconfig, ping, etc instructions give them the response from memory....

"well ok we'll send out a tech with a new modem"

There's another one that starts with VERI and ends with ZON that isn't any better. When I call Dell though, they're pretty helpful.

We are buying them out.

That "Com - place" company you are talking about will soon be Suddenlink.

Need a laugh?
