1. You hit the ball as hard, and as far as you can.
2. Then you go looking for it
3. Once you find it.... then you freaking hit it again...
4. Only to go looking for it "AGAIN!".
5. Find it again and what do you do? You freaking hit it again!

Matt, actually the answer would be "Yes and No".
1. Yes, you would hit the ball as far as you can on most holes.
2. One should NOT have to go looking for the ball...they should see it or know where your going to hit the ball, and "place" it in that area.
3. You must hit the ball "again", because I dont think we will ever see a hole in one on a par-five. Average par-five holes are between 476 and 600 yards.
4. Now, you should almost never have to "look" for your ball after a shot.
5. Hopefully by the time you have reached your 4th shot you should be on the green, in chipping distance, or taking a drop.
All it takes is that one good well struck golf shot, and seeing that ball fly straight and true with great distance...it's a feeling you will have that is like nothing you've ever felt before. I can't put it into words.

Eventually you hopefully make it to the green... Where you tap it around until it goes in a little cup. Then you pick it up out of the cup happy that you finally accomplished getting it in the cup only to go somewhere else and start this entire process over again.
If I just want to waste time, I'd rather go to the river and watch the water go by. There I can contemplate serious problems, deep issues and stuff. Even if I don't figure any of them out, then I was temporairily stress free and I come out feeling better, more clear headed and ready to rock the world for it. Plus it was 100% free.
Now, golf could get my interest one of two ways.....
It must become a competitve sport.
People have argued and told me that it is a competitve sport, that you are competeing against yourself!
How do you beat perfection?
So to make it competitve.....
1. Free for all Demo Golf:
Everyone gets a golf cart, if you get off your golf cart then you are fair game.
2. Hillbilly golf:
My personal favorite,
You have two player in play at a time.
Offensive and deffesnive,
Offensive is trying to get the ball to the hole
Defensive is trying to stop the ball before he gets to the hole.
Defensive intiates play by hollering; PULL!
Offensive sets paly in motion by yelling FOUR and hitting the ball.
Now it is up to Defense to stop the ball from making it's flight by use of a golf edition 12 ga.
If ball makes it past defense but does not go in the hole
Then defense must select from a selection of various blocking tools to continue to defend the hole. But non can be any bigger around than the cup.
While offensive makes his normal club selection and continues to try to get the ball in the hole.
