Ready? Nope. I'm ready for some COLD weather. It got pretty warm yesterday. On the way to work this AM it was 74F. I thought to myself, "Self.....wouldn't it be great if that was the temp all day long".

Wishful thinking for sure.

Morning Smeezy.

The sig is coming along. Might want to dump the kitty, or at least blend him/her in a little better. You truck is a little ackward (SP?) in the setup you have. Nice setup, just needs to "flow" better. Good job, none the less.

BTW......Burt is gonna make fun of you for that.

What do you play with? I suck, so I buy used. I'm gonna loose em anyway, so I figure, why loose a good one when I can always loose someones "lost ball".

I play with Titleist Pro V1 when someone has given me some, I won't pay their price. I like Maxfli, Precept, Callaway or any ball with a softer cover for control. I stay away from the hard cover distance *****. I just do not like anything Nike, I think they played a big part in changing sports and athletes with the money they started throwing around several years ago. Just a personal thing.

I am sure they are very good quality. Most of their stuff is, it's just a personal thing with me and what they as a company did with professional athletes. Nike has a small plant here in Fort Worth, you irons were made here. Tiger comes in frequently for fittings.

Titleist ProV1

There is no substitute.

Actually, I long for days of wound Titleists with a Balata cover. I also miss real spikes.

I like the ProV1, but would never pay that much for a dozen *****. These days my game sucks big time so it isn't worth it.

Callaway makes a good ball too. I currently play with their orange HX Hot *****.

(That didn't sound right).

Their HX Tour and HX Tour 56 are also good.

I believe the USGA is going to come down hard on manufacturers, maybe on equipment, and certainly on *****. And it's a good thing too. It's crazy watching the average golfer routinely hitting 275 to 300 yards, and courses getting longer and longer. That's not golf.

Personally, I'd love to see all ***** be older wound technology, and all clubs be blades, and drivers back to normal size. That way, everyone would find out what golf (was) (is) really about.

I agree Kobi. I wont say what clubs I use (it's embarrassing), but I can honestly say this, "I try to be as real to the game as the game is real". Think about that for a minute.

It's like a video game cheat. Why play the game if your gonna "cheat"? What's the use of playing it then?

I saw a show on the golf channel one night about what you mentioned as far as these newer ***** coming out. Hey, IMO, if the pros dont use it, or they aren't allowed to use them, then the average golfer shouldn't either. It takes away from the sport.

The USGA needs to stop the craziness for sure. However, I think they have let it go too long to come down hard on the manufacturers. They may slowly put the brakes on, but haven't done much yet. There is just too much money involved in the golfer "needing" the newest stuff. I agree about the spirit of the game though, the old irons and drivers and the "dead" ***** made real golfers. I have some refurbished Hogan "real woods" in the corner of my office at home.

I used to play with a group of guys every week at a local country club and having the newest and bestest stuff was like a disease.

I love playing Colonial here in Fort Worth and other old courses where placement of the ball is more important than all out distance. Tiger won't play the Colonial Invitational as it equalizes his game with the others. He played it his first year, and not been back.
