Well actually no, it wasnt a happy ending.
Long story short, I ended up unsuspectingly becoming an escape goat for a sociopathic manager. By the time the situation was brought to my attention, then it was to late I had already been discredited and set up for a fall. Except as my luck had it then she went overboard at the last minute trying to insure her story. Made extremely unbelivable false aqusations etc. with out any proof and many I was able to offer counter evidence. In the end, several months later, lots of tribunals and courts later, she got fired, I got compensation with an open job invitation anytime I wanted from the President/Owner and a letter of recomendation from the President/Owner, my supervisor, and the sales supervisor, plus a sincere apology and thanks for bringing her actions to his attnetion from the President/Owner too. Apperantly I wasn't her first, I dont know how she had gotten away with it before, except all the ones before were much younger, barely out of high school.

Mean while I took this job I have now, the 2nd place that I talked to about an opening. I liked what they had to offer mainly plenty of room for growth. Pay started really really really low. I was the 15th employee, 2 years later we are at 50. We started in the basment of an old factory, had to get a second place 6 months after I started. 2 months ago we moved both locations into a brand new 75K sq ft facility. We've grown and I am pretty much right where I want to be, we're not done yet. I forsee out growing this facility and having to add on in a year tops. My pay has almost tripled since two years ago.

So in the end it appears to all be working out for the best. I won't beable to let you know for sure until this chapter ends though.

Sweet deal UC. Take the camera in to capture the moment you tell your boss to F off. That would be sweet. Hopefully you read this before you quit.

Come on. It's either 2 weeks via email or 1 week 1 day in person. Which would you prefer?

Make sure you do it by email and letter. Many companies require 2 week notices. If you don't give them that, they may not give pay you for any unused vacation you have accrued. Also if you don't give them full notice, it will look bad down the road if you are looking for another job.

type up a letter....give it to the office manager....stating that you want to give a two week notice so given the current circumstances....you must give it to her.....I am sure she has a way of getting in contact with your boss.....that way your bases are covered.....and people start panicing early.....

x2 just make sure you have the new job nailed down and be sure you are covered with medical insurance. All that slleeping on the couch can cause some serious back trouble.

I'm psyked. I just received the offer. They gave me a little more than even I asked as a counter. And we hadn't talked benefits either.....

Full medical, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, and optional vision.
401K up to 25% but no match.
3 Weeks Vacation accrued Monthly
3 Personal Days accrued monthly
9 Holidays
5 Sick Days.

Lots better than I have now.
