Any ideas what my squeak is???
Any ideas what my squeak is???
Wasnt sure what forum to post it in, so I figured this one would do.
For the last couple months, ive had this squeak coming from my truck...its pretty much just when Im backing up slow. You can hear it speed up as you back up a little faster. I havent looked into it too much, besides making sure nothing is rubbing my tire or anything. I was thinking about pulling my rear tires off and checking out the brakes but havent done it yet.
Anyone else had anything like this?

It could be a u-joint, it could be brakes, it could be rear axle bearings, it could be, differential carrier berings, it cold be wheel bearings, it could be something has just came loose and with reverse load is rubbing (I've had disc brake caliper do that to me before)
Best thing is to just try and locate the general area that it's coming from and tear into it.

Yea I thnk we can drift now, not much we can do over the net with this one....
If you need to know a good dealer that specializes in squeaks get with mattineer. He's been training one or two in Ohio for years.

you guys are to much! lolfor the thread starter, I have no idea where to even start with ur squeak. Its hard to tell over the Internet, only being there in person I could help, but if I was there in person, I would have your truck taken apart trying to find the damn thing!
I have a tendency of taking my truck apart to find rattles and squeaks, but all that does is make more of them. I hate squeaks and rattles!
