The MM basically requires it to run full time. It takes a few weeks to break the cycle and then maintains the lower levels.

I burn a tank in about 3-4 weeks fo 24/7.

When I have a party or some event I just spray the yard the day before and that works best.

RP, you can say it, we already know it.
You're only worried about the dog. We were going to get one too, but were worried about my little brothers getting into it and causing trouble some how.

I use this
http://www.cutterinsectrepellent.com...gFreeBackyard/

I spray the evening before and let it dry overnight.

Home depot sells it.

Here is the one I use:

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=187603

It seems to work well when placed properly. The advantage of this one is it uses bottled CO2 instead of burning propane to create CO2. It attracts 3 ways: The CO2, Liquid attractant (coke), and colored lights. It then uses a fan to force the bugs into the liquid trap. It has a timer and only runs and uses gas when you want it to. It has trapped thousands of bugs.

Found this stuff at WallyHell... Ironically, the same 'active ingredient' is in the Sevin lawn treatment stuff that I use as well as in the Scott's w/ Summer Guard which also goes on my yard. In short, I'm worried that it's going to be a waste as my yard seems to get a lot of Permethrin and I still have a problem...

For less than $10, I'll give it a whirl though... I hope it's a winner...

Are you looking at keeping mosquitoes out of your yard or just off you and your wife? Many days mosquitoes are not too bad here as we have a LOT of dragon flies flying around which feed on mosquitoes.

However and for what ever reason when the dragon flies are taking breaks I have found something that works better then OFF at keeping mosquitoes off your person. Any brand of the fabric softeners sheets you put in the dryer when you dry your clothes work EXCELLENT.

I actually learned about them from a camping website 3 – 4 years ago. Couple things you can do with them. First you can take one or two and put them in your pocket so they hang out some. What I found to work even better, and again learned from the camping website, was you take the sheet and wipe it on your clothes, a new sheet not a used one, and I have actually rubbed it on my arms, neck etc.

It used to be when I washed my vehicles and/or mowed the yard I would just get eating like nothing. When utilizing the fabric softener sheets I never got bothered by them and what I would do after wiping my clothes and arms with one is stick it in my back pocket and let it hang half way out, it really and still works great…

You might think I am kidding but try it sometime. They don’t smell bad either…

Thanks Burt... I appreciate the advice.

I really think that this guy probably has something to do with the lack of mosquitos in your area though....
