Doesn't anybody use their computer for gaming anymore? All this talk about all these new high dollar game systems just doesn't make sense to me. With the new technology that is out now for the PC, (64 bit processors, high end graphics cards, etc..) don't you think that a PC would play these games just as good?

My wife is a hardcore gamer. She uses her PC to play Unreal Tournament on line, is head of a clan and all that. So I do understand what a hardcore gamer is.

I just can't see the logic in spending more hard earned bucks on a game console when the PC will run the game just fine.
Am I missing something here? Help me to understand what all the excitement is about a game console instead of using the PC.
I don't think PC games are as good. You have to play with a keyboard and I'm not a computer nut so I would rather use a system.

NCCA Football looks good this year. They revamped the race for the hiesman. I play all ea sports games.

Can someone help please I need to make a decision and want people opinions. Will I be dissapointed with the 360. Also I think it comes with a year of free x-box live(which I heard blows the sony online out of the water). I don't know which to get. I'm not a hardcore gamer but do play quite a bit. So which have faster loading times? Without me being a harcore gamer does it matter which one I buy? Which will have better graphics?

since your not a hardcore gamer just get the 360 and save some $$$$. You wont be disappionted with the 360 but you may be somewhat disappointed with the PS3 if you go and spend the extra $200 and the 360 has the same graphics and stuff. I'm an X-box guy so I am kinda bias but I have a PS2 and i just dont like the controlers. To small for my hands. I like the original big X-box controlers.

Looking at the controllers they look to be about the same except for the right analog stick. I think I will order the 360 online. I have a question it comes with a X-box silver membership. Can you play online with it because on walmart it says this:
"Live Silver membership: With this, gamers can chat with friends online, send and receive voice and text messages, and access new content from Xbox Live Marketplace demos such as trailers and casual games from Xbox Live Arcade. "

It also comes with a 30 Gold trial. Is the gold better. I asked someone else and they said that the gold just gives a better outlook on your opponent. I am going to order it I will need a few days to master the controller before I get NCAA football. Also can you play x-box games on the 360 because I have always wanted to play forza motorsports.

I am a hardcore gamer. I play online all the time...on the PS2. Why? Because it is free. I will not pay to play online ever. So the PS3 is $600 for the 60 gig version? Add up an Xbox with 5 year Live charges. Same price as PS3 and continues to go up. I can tell you this much, the PS3 is a very powerful machine. A PC built with the highest performance parts adn software doesnt come close to this. I beta tested the PS3 7 months ago...awesome! Save your money gradually, the chances of getting a PS3 at launch a very slim. Wait until the second wave of shipments arrive to get yours and in the meaning enjoy some of the killer games that will be released for the PS2. I was very fortunate to test the PS3. I am a member of Sony's Gamer Advisory Panel.

Well after reading your post you have me back on the fence see I have searched x-box 360 vs. ps3 and every article says that the 360 wins. One article even said that without the blue-ray thing for dvd's the ps3 would be weak. I have enough money to get either but I need to go out and find a job to replace the money. Another thing is though I could save $440 on a x-box 360. If I buy a ps3 its $200 more and I will spend another $240 on Madden 2007 and NCAA 2007. I will have to buy it for ps2 and ps3. PS3 games are going to be $60. Will there be a difference between the ps2 version and ps3?

I say just go ahead and get the 360. You want be disappointed. Another neat feature about the 360 is that if you have a computer running windows media center, you can acces your computer through the xbox.

I want to just rush out and get one but I need to get another job first like my mom told me. I am going to get one here in a few days depending on when my buddy talks to his aunt. She'll hire me backk though because before I quit I was her favorite employee all time.

I wasn't even planning on buying a 360 when I bought mine. I was walking through walmart and saw it and brought it home.

Just found this thread and now that the ps3 is out i thought i'd bring it back.

Did 95'F-150 buy 360/ps3?

Did Vader get a Wii? If so, how do you like it so far?

Anyone have a ps3 yet?
