I have had all nintendo systems, sega's, ps1 and my old standby ps2. My best friend who lives next door has xbox360. From what I've seen on the xbox 360 I will wait for the ps3 system. It will make a nice addition to my home theater setup. Worth the wait IMHO.

So when ps2 came out I like the playstation 1 so much I had to have it so I bought it. At the time there was no x-box so the decision was easy. Now they are so competitive its a tough choice. There is one game I can think of that is on xbox that isn't on the playstation and thats forza motorsports and I was itching to play the game when it came out.
I like the xbox360, but I have always had problems with the xbox controllers. I guess it's just me. I must be playstation biased towards their controllers.

All this GameCube bashing sucks.
I have a GameCube, and I'd rather play it over my PS2 simply for the slow-**** loading time of the PS2. Now, dont get me wrong..the PS2 has awesome titles; Resident Evil 4 (Game of the year), God of War, Metal Gear Series, Gran Turismo series, etc. All great games...actually you can get RE4 for the GC, which was far more superior to the version on the PS2.
Anyway...I like the GC controller too. That doesn't mean the PS2 controller sucks, I'm just saying. True the software for the lil square box doesn't match up to the PS2, but some of the games that are available for the GC that aren't available on the PS2 are must haves in my case. ANY Zelda game (I love me sum Zelda), Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metroid, and Mario games...just to name a few. I bought the GameCube for Metal Gear: TTS, and I evenyually had more GC games then I did PS2 games, cause I found myself playing it more.
But, that's beside the point. We are discussing the PS3 VS. XBOX 360.
PS3 - way too pricey.
XBOX - price is fair, but still Microsoft.
Wii - priced well, and Nintendo always has something new (controller).
It all boils down to personal preference. If your a fan on PS, and you think that's what you want...go for it.
If it's the XBOX...get the 360
...or if it's Nintendo....get the Wii.

Gotcha....what kind of games do you play the most?
Sports - Adventure - Action - Racing?
This will help you determine which system best suits you. Research titles for both consoles, and find the one that has the MOST games of your taste, and then run with that, and dont look back. Also keep in mind, that these are only launch titles...many more will come out later on. If my memory servers me correctly, PS2 killed XBOX with titles later on.

Has anyone sold anything off ebay? I have 2 ps2's one works and one broke. I want to sell the broke one. How much does it cost to run a ebay ad?How much do you think I could get out of it? Also I have a N64 and want to get rid of it. How much do you think I could get out of it? It is the purple one. It has 2 controlers,2 rumble paks, 2 memeroy cards, and around 10 games?
Ok next tuesday NCAA Football 2007 comes out. I need to make a decision by then. I will either get a 360 then or if I don't get it then I will just wait for the ps3. Vadar did you say it has more storage? I want to know which will be faster load times and better graphics thats all I know.
Ya know, since I'm not a hardcore gamer, what I'm going to say may sound ignorant (not towards any of you, towards the game hardware).
I've been a computer nut for quite some time now and I really need to say this.
Doesn't anybody use their computer for gaming anymore? All this talk about all these new high dollar game systems just doesn't make sense to me. With the new technology that is out now for the PC, (64 bit processors, high end graphics cards, etc..) don't you think that a PC would play these games just as good?
My wife is a hardcore gamer. She uses her PC to play Unreal Tournament on line, is head of a clan and all that. So I do understand what a hardcore gamer is.
I just can't see the logic in spending more hard earned bucks on a game console when the PC will run the game just fine.
Am I missing something here? Help me to understand what all the excitement is about a game console instead of using the PC.
