That said the only system I'll probably end up owning is the Wii from Nintendo.

Graphics have reached a point of diminishing returns in my viewpoint and the controller and virtual console from the Wii has me hooked.

Combine that with a price tag under $250 and I'm sold.
Nintendo??? You must not have been one of the 50 lucky owners of the POS Gamecube! Nintendo hasn't had a hit console since SuperNintendo back in 1990. It's gonna take a helluvalot of convincing for me to even pick up one of those controllers. I have the 360 and other than the fact that I had to have 4 of my sheetrock guys to wait in line overnight at a BestBuy in December to get one(and 3 others for family and friends) it is well worth the price. Those same guys will be waiting in line at the same BestBuy once word gets out of the arrival of the PS3.
I doubt the Wii will even have a line.

I had a gamecube. It sucked pretty bad. Metroid was about the only good game on it. My favorite game system by far was the nintendo 64. The WCW and WWF wrestling games on 64 was awesome. You couldn't go backstage. You get a group of people up and it was a blast playing that game. Wave race 64 was pretty cool, too. Playstation I loved twisted metal 2. That game was great. The games these days aren't as fun as the old ones for some reason. Maybe I'm getting older. I've bought every system made growing up. Since Nintendo.... I can't see myself paying a 100 dollars for one video game.

I've owned every Nintendo system since the NES. I guess I'm a fanboy.

However, the Gamecube has been a great system. We have two in my house. My kid has over 150 games for the system. I only play a few games anymore, Zelda, Metroid, Madden, and RE (when I get a chance). In the years I've owned a GC there has only been 1 or 2 games that I wanted that weren't available.

My kid has dropped their GC down the steps while carrying it and picked it up and moved on. My NES, SNES, N64 and GC all are working next to my PS1 that doesnt (and it is the 2nd unit).

I know Nintendo hasn't done well in the console wars with the last two systems but both of their systems have been good IMO.

I'm not paying $600 for the PS3 and frankly I've never really looked at the Xbox (not that it is a bad system).

BTW...try pre-ordering...no lines and they show up at your door.

Back when I was a huge WWF fan I had i think it was called Wrestlemania. That game was sweet. I tried watching that what is it now WWC? Man it ain't the same. Theres only a few that still wrestle in that that was in the WWF. Man the days that the Undertaker,Stone Cold,Kane,The Rock,Mc.Foley, degeneration X, DeLo Brown(was one of my favorites), 3-D,Holley brothers, and some of the other ones.

Anyway back to the systems. Can I really go wrong with either one? Will I be greatly disapointed in the 360? I am not crazy about learning new controls. I just think for $200 cheaper that is a great deal. That sounds to me like your getting the Wii. I know it sounds like I am rushing into getting one. I'm not I just think if the 360 is basically the same why not buy it? I'm not looking at doing anything until mid-august. Madden 07 comes out in august so I will have to make my decision before.

Can we take a vote? Which one will you be buying?
A.) Playstation 3
B.) X-Box 360

B. Bigger library and been to market for a while...less bugs. You don't have Hi-Def so the Blu-ray means very little to you.

Then take the money you saved by not buying a PS3 and buy a Wii....You probably won't play the Xbox after you do

I think our big screen is hd-tv. But I don't play on it very often. But I thought the ps3 had 60 GB to the 360's 20 GB?

No I'm only 16...infact it is hd because it says so on the t.v. I can see it from here. It says HD something its a mitshubishi. It says hd 1080. So without the blue-ray are the systems the same. As far as bugs go they suck! Head Coach came out too early and it has several bugs and unrealistic stats. I still like it but it came out too early they needed to tweak a few things.

I here you on that. I "was" a huge fan. I totally forgot about the N64. That was a pretty badass little system! I mean it was no Playstation, but it was the first to come stock with 4 controller outlets and I can't forget SuperMarioCart! I guess I just felt a little burned after buying the GC. It worked fine and never quit on me(I had to replace the Playstation 2 like twice,@ no charge though) but the controllers, video outputs, and game selection were not up to par.

And I did pre-order, even like a year in advance at 2 different places, but evidently 1 year wasn't soon enough. I was still on the 2nd or 3rd shipment. That wasn't cuttin it for me, so I took matters into my sheetrock guys hands! Just because I am an avid gamer and have always had every console, I will probably break down and get the new NES. Just to be on the safe side!

I don't want all three. It not like my parents are buying it for me. I have to buy everything. I don't want to blow all my money either. I would love to get both 360 and ps3 but thats a grand right there that I could save for a newer pick-up. Mine is a 95 2wd, its nice and all. I just want something newer.

Caution, I'm about to show my age.

When I was a kid we had an intellivision. It was state of the art back then. What a joke, atari was way better with the stick and button, even though intellivision had sophisticated controllers. That system sucked.

I have had all nintendo systems, sega's, ps1 and my old standby ps2. My best friend who lives next door has xbox360. From what I've seen on the xbox 360 I will wait for the ps3 system. It will make a nice addition to my home theater setup. Worth the wait IMHO.

Well if we are gonna go old....

I had the Atari 2600, 5200, and the 7800. I didnt want that new Nintendo thing but when I saw Pro-Wrestling I was hooked.

Man that 2600 wore out your thumb...
