We don't have any of those driving restrictions except for a 1am - 5am curfew. I've only gotten pulled over once, and it was for running a red light. I believe I made it through, the undercover detective behind me didn't though.
Luckily, I didn't get written up. Do I speed? Yes. Do I do 25 over? Hell no.

ANOTHER way to tell one's level of maturity is to listen to the kinds of words that they do, or don't use!
Anyone who is impressed when they hear someone talk like that isn't worth impressing in the first place.
There are women (both members AND visitors) who read these posts every single day. This just isn't the time or place for that kind of language, IMHO.

Well,
You haven't done anything that the rest of us haven't done.
But I really would recommend that you change your attitude about the local Police Department.
Going on one of the Largest F150 websites and stating:
will not help the situation the next time you are caught speeding. Especially considering the Police Department is only a 22 man force.
Just happens to be a bunch of people from Texas on this site.
Just a thought.

Well, Speedy. I guess just about everything needing to be told to you has been. Read & heed. I worked with the Dept of Highways for 30 years and have seen my share of bodies and parts strewn across the roads and through the ditches. It's NOT a pretty sight. Once you have experienced these scenes, you realize, "Holy crap! That could just as easily have been me."
I don't want you to have to go through this scene, or anyone else.
Please drive responsibly. The only place to impress anyone with your driving skills for speeding is at the race/drag track. (AND you may be able to get paid for it) Find one and don't use the public streets.
Just another "old fart" mouthing off.

Yes they can call it excessive at 15mph over. It is a possibility that they might take it away. When I got a ticket (88 in 65) the officer wrote me up at 80mph and (I was a minor) when I went to court when you sign in, they take your license from you and its up to the judge to hand it back to you.
So when I saw the judge he said if I was going any faster he would be keeping my license.... then he handed my license back.
Good luck bro!

My point was that when someone uses those kinds of words un public, especially where ladies would see/read them, or would even suggest using them before a judge or cop that won't make people think better of you.
This over with, let's get back to the subject on this thread...

As it has been mentioned you haven’t done anything most of us haven’t so don’t feel so bad…
Now, if you want to do well in court as per having a chance of not losing your license you’re going to have to do your best to be perceived as a responsible young adult and not some punk kid.
To be perceived as a responsible young adult who acted like a young punk kids, as most of us have done in the past when we were young punk kids, is you’re going to have to accept responsibility for your actions.
To do that you are going to have to truly believe you were in fact irresponsible with your behavior and want to change it. Again, don’t take me telling you that you were irresponsible as a hit because I too in my youth was irresponsible at times, its part of growing up.
What I would suggest, but you have to really believe this or it will come across as some words spoken not meaning anything, is to tell the judge something like this:
”Your honor I acted completely irresponsible that day and was indeed speeding. After thinking about this incident these past weeks I realize I could have put others in danger. I want to apologize to this court and the police for wasting their valuable time and can tell you this will never happen again. I accept full responsibility for my actions and will pay the fine or what ever the court feels is appropriate. If it’s at all possible I would like to ask that I not lose my license but if that is unavoidable I completely understand and am ready to suffer that consequence based on my poor judgment”
Judges have heard every possible excuse anyone could come up with and not just for young adults but older ones like me.
Now the above may not guarantee that you will not lose your license but it does give you a much better chance of not losing it. I would think it would be refreshing for a judge to actually hear a young adult accept responsibility and not try to come up with some excuse as to why they did what they did. The vast majority of people, kids and adults, usually try to BS their way out of tickets and judges hate that…

Case and Kobelco is what you need to convert to. And on the Ag side you need some New Hollands/Ford tractors.

I was stopped at a road-side inspection by the RCMP the other day. I have an RCMP Centennial plate on teh front of the car.
Northernorm rolls down window and comes to stop beside officer. "Good day to you, officer. How are you doing this fine sunny day?"
Officer, "Well, I've had better. How are you doing?"
N'rm," I'm doing great, so far." I smile widely.
Officer," I see you are all wearing your seatbelts. That's great. And, BTW, I like the suck-hole license plate on the front." Officer smiles.
N'orm, "??? Uhhh.. What one is that?"
N'orm's wife," The RCMP one, idiot."
Officer smiles again, then says,"Guess what."
N'orm's heart stops for a second and he thinks to his self," Oh crap. I forgot my license, registration and insurance in the truck." "What?", N'orm queries, a bit tremulously.
Officer again smiles, walks to the front of the car and looks at the plate, again, then walks to N'orm's window, pulls a pen out of his shirt pocket, twiddles it back and forth between his fingers, then says, "Well, it worked. Have a nice day."
????I wonder if I can find a couple more of those plates.

speeddemon13, you have seen a bunch of opinions, so what's one more?
What I have to say is, get used to this feeling. Learn from it. That's all you can do.
In time you will be a better judge of when and when not to fool around. You should also be a better judge of the consequences of speeding.
If you go to court, you will learn how things work, and how to do the things that will work in your favor. You might also learn that the people in the courts have a job to do, and in doing their job they may impose consequences for your actions. You're not going to like it, but it's their job.
I have been where your at more than once. In fact you may be in worse situations in the future, that you will have to figure out what to do. It's life. I'm older than you but not an "old fart". I like to drive fast still. Now though, I have a much better idea of what could happen. I still may not always make the "wisest" choices, but I always know there is a consequence for my actions.
You'll be fine.
