Not much more... 'Gerrymandering'.

It's a sad state of affairs when there are 435 House races and only 38 are competitive.

In my district, the Dems did not field a candidate at the State level.

I've seen that type 'Yes or No' screen!

It was from Resource Management asking if you were satisfied with your pay.

Democrats have about as much chance of taking the Senate as a Kennedy has staying sober on a Saturday night at Cape Cod...While driving at two in the morning...

That is a true statement but, I don't know that I'd brag about it.
Republicans control both Houses, what the Congress did or did not do is laid directly at their feet.

There are only eight senate races that are competive, 3 Dem and 5 Rep.
The Dems would have to win all 8 to just have a tie in the Senate.
And then mr Cheney is tiebreaker so yeah, the Democrats cannot take the Senate in '06.

(but Bush still has over years to hand it to them in '08)

As far as the Senate race in '08, i can't imagine looking that far out to Senate races, the Presidency seems much easier to guess at...who knows though...

News Flash - Hillary Clinton is already a democratic senator.
That is what we were discussing?
I could less about a pompus figurehead.
I want the House and Senate.
Once the War Powers act expires, the Presidency will once again become impotent.
(That is spelled correctly, I didn't intend to type 'important')

I really don't see the Senate changing to a liberal leaning party anytime soon. The country is still caught in a conservative movement that is doubtful to evaporate. Dems may pick up a seat or two, but very unlikely to go far when the Dems say stupid stuff...for instance, threatening to impeach the President.
