I'll bet whatever a new trans from FoMoCo cost, plus installation cost, minus the scrap price.

Random guess 5,700lbs

Ok i did a 0-60 run tonight LOL....wanted to see how it will pull....

Took off kinda slow (didnt want to roach the tires off too much JK) but clocked in at about 21-23 seconds.

I could spin the tires on gravel pulling it pretty good if i wanted to with out flooring it. To be honest, it pulled well tonight. I will see how it goes tomarrow.

I have no earthly idea what that all might weigh but I bet it's a lot more than the beer cans we guessed at a few months back. . .

3150 lbs of iron.

I got 5 dollarcents a pound a year ago.
Depends on the quality of the iron, how much steel the iron contains.
I went for some info before I delivered the stuff.
The son agreed to give me 12 eurocents per kg.
When I actually brought it, the father only give me 9 cents.
His explanation was most of the iron was not good enough and he really kicked his son s for offering me 12.

How much is a ton in this case, 1000 Kg?

What? To hell with the metric system, break out the trustworthy Imperial measuement system! LOL

1 ton = 2000lbs

Iron is a component in steel but I don't know how you can tell the difference offhand. I guess you can garner, from whatever the steel was used for, a round about estimate of what kind of steel was used. i.e. Structural steel is better than rebar.

What's aluminum going for these days?

The last i checked, $0.40 a pound. I have about a hundred pouds of that to take down too. I just pulled it 35 miles and she did well haha. She got a gooood work out. Think i averaged about 9 mpg..not bad at all. Lots of BIG hills and i was running 70 on the main highways to keep up with traffic. I will unload it after 2.
