Its done all the time. A lot of the cruising style boats will do it to denote the differnece in a bowrider or a cuddy cabin of the same boat, size and hull configuration. Take Justins boat for instance...Im not sure the exact model, but its a bow rider. Lets say model 240. If the same boat was a cuddy cabin it would be a 242 or 246. Its just what they do.

Ok let me rephrase that....... Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I want a big mean boat that I can have a party on and still get up some speed with.

I would like to find a Playcraft 2700 Powertoon Extreme, with the 8.1L 425hp.

If I was going to own a toon, it would most definatly be a Playcraft of some kind. They are the fastest production toon on the water.

That is Jim Dorris, owner of PlayCraft Boats, when he set the official pontoon speed record at 81.0 MPH in a PlayCraft Pontoon.

Then look at the water, it is relitively smooth, it's out of the water becasue the deck is acting like a kite and lifiting it, it is litteraly trying to fly but on the verge of flipping over backwards. Definatly not a smooth ride! Granted if yuo putt about 10 people on the bow. Then that would push it down, but then your not going to beable to hit 81 mph either.
