Seems like a good time to find out what brand of coffee our ford family likes the best. I've been buy Maxwell house for years. I like 100% colombian coffee. Maxwell house has changed thier brands some much I don't know what to buy. So, I'm thinking about buying one of those grinders and getting the beans instead. Problem is I have no idea about grinding coffee beans and buying a good grinder. I like my coffee strong and fresh. Oh, I just looked at the "latest" can of coffee, says-BOLD, wtf

I have tried the safeway brands, folgers etc.. Bite the bullet for the cost and get the starbucks columbian or may be the costco near you has the starbucks roasted kirklands coffee bean, also columbian. A good robust and strong coffee, and it does not go bitter in the thermos.

Just about any coffee grinder will work. Tried to replace the old cheap one with a cheap one, but, they all now are going high tech, so i bought one. It works just as well, but takes up more room.

I use Costco's Kirkland 100% Columbian ground coffee. I'd do the whole bean thing but I'm just too lazy

The Costco 100% Columbian is one of the better pre-ground coffee's I've tasted.

Costco's is like a zillion miles from me, well, not quite that far. I never heard of Kirkland coffee, Thanks Wild-Mtn-Rose, I'll have to check that out. We do have a Wall-Mart here and a Starbucks. But to buy the beans, then grind them, it's like three times you pay for a can of good ole Maxwell that used to be. Tommorow I'm going to buy one of those grinders, get some Columbian beans and either get smart or broke, but at least I'll have a good cup of coffee. Thanks all for the tips. Steve

Ok....I hear all this talk about Walmart. I just don't get it. The Walmart's I'm used to are just regular stores like Target, K-Mart, etc.. I heard there is such a thing as Super-Walmarts!!!

I was in one of those places last year, What an experience, the majority of the staff were slow and preoccupied ( evening shift), when i asked directions it was like i was interupting one of their deep medative thoughts.

The blank look disapearing as their eyes focused and than then the single syllable muttered "huh" That place must just kill personal initiative.

I couldn't have said it better myself. We have 3 of them in this area and a 4th is set to open in May. I like it when they open the supercenters because they auction off all of the store equipment from the old store that they are closing. The last one that auctioned off, I bought twenty-two, 15 gallon fish aquariums, fully equiped for $25. All of the shelving and stuff brings chump change. I also bought the hot dog and Nocho machines as well out of the little eatery thing. Both obviously industrial resturaunt equipment. I got those for $5 each.

Nice, I've never heard of them doing that here. I've been trying to locate a cheap commercial ice maker. Tired of paying $1 a bag for it. We spend $4-$5 a week on ice to go to the lake thru the summer. Plus it's a pain ot have to stop. I'd rather have everything here and get to the water.
