In a way it makes perfect sense. A whinny kid is a kid that usually never gets what they want when they want it. In other words they have to earn what they get by utilizing personal responsibility.

On the other hand many kids that are not whinny are those who have everything handed to them to get them to shut their spoiled mouths. These are the children who grow up believing that they are “entitled” to anything they wish.

Therefore the whinny kids grow up to be independent, hard workers, family values and are proud of the fact that personal responsibility comes natural to them. They are successful, on top of things, and usually get what they want because they know how to set goals for themselves and meet them.

The non-whinny kids grow up and collect welfare checks, blame everyone else for their problems and are rarely if ever successful. They have no idea what personal responsibility is nor do they understand the word “responsibility” other then when used in a sentence such as ”Others are responsible for me and to insure I am happy and get what I want”

So, in conclusion its good to have a whinny kid because they won’t be whinny for long, they will quickly grow out of the whinny stage and those kids who are not whinny will grow up to become whinny for the rest of their lifes…

I, sir, do tip my hat to you. I couldn't have put it better. I'm now proud to say I was a whiney kid.

I've said it before... here it goes again..

If you're young and conservative, you don't have a heart. If you're older and liberal, you don't have a brain.

So are you saying that I don't have a heart or that I'm old? I just like to think that I have had the right upbrining combined with a desire to know facts and not rely on emotion to determine my viewpoints. I know you're trying to be a little humorous, and thats fine. I just feel that statement is a little offensive to alot of people. But feel free to say it, I constantly am offending somebody. Matter of fact, I make it a point to **** a liberal off every day (usually just by not being "pc".)

Liberals don't seem to feel the need to do much research to come to a conclusion like this. They tracked 95 people and that gives you a "general consensus"? I guess that's why you keep touting all the poll results. Of 250 million people they ask around a thousand a question. You use these results to claim general consensus.

Maybe it's true that whiney kids grow up to be conservative. It appears that the "confident, resilient, self-reliant kids" mostly grew up to be whiney liberals. We are only kids for a small portion of our lives so liberals are whiney adults for far longer than a whiney kid that turns out to be a conservative.

Good find cehowardf150.

I must be missing something here, because I have yet to meet anyone who is truly conservative or liberal. People who claim to be either always seem to have the unique ability to alter their beliefs as needed to justify whatever they desire.

Heh, not too many people on that one, but it looks like he's there for good reason from the rest of the thread.
