ur right, I looked again. I checked KBB when I first bought this months ago so obvioously it had changed some. still worth 19,500 and I got it 5 months back for 17, so still looks like I got a good price yet on it.

I don't plan on getting a beather car anymore, I'll just drive this one till it dies if it ever does

Dude...19,500 is RETAIL, not Private Party. You are not a dealer, so therefore your truck is worth 16,500.

Chevy Caprice....any year but my favorites are 94-96 with the LT1 350. They get 25mpg on the highway and have plenty of power to keep you entertained. The 80's box caprice are very reliable too, never have seen one fail below 200k miles. And if they do break down, they are cheap and easy as hell to fix.

I use a 1992 Festiva XL. It's like riding in a tin can, but it does the job, and cheaply, I might add.

You ever tried to change spark plugs and wires on one of those things? That motor is crammed in there.

Yeah, I've changed spark plugs on them. I had a 95 Impala SS that I put headers on, the drivers side was easy as pie. The passenger side is the killer, hell the one day I was changing plugs I ran out of daylight and it didn't matter, cause no amount of light was helping me get the one plug in. The opti-spark and routing the wires to it can be challenging, but I have small hands so it wasn't too hateful. You definitely have to have alot of patience and have hands of steel! Now the boxy caprices are a sinch to change plugs and wires.

I want to keep this thing young and going strong for at least 8 more years, so putting that kind of miles on it this early won't make it last as long as I'd like it too last

why oh why did you get yourself into this?

Sell that thing.. Get a used Civic and drive it until it dies. Otherwise, you are going to be in debt for the rest of your life.

I would just drive the Mountaineer since it is highway miles... I know you said you weren't going to go beater, but if you change your mind, why not buy a 4cyl Ranger? They get amazing gas mileage (warning: they are gutless). But for highway driving any 90+ Ranger would be great
