More than likely would want to know where they could get one.

Spelling isn't your only weakness.

You are going to buy an old truck rather than a small car for a 55 mile commute?

Old truck 10 mpg
Small car 30 mpg

55 mi X 2 per day X 5 per week X 52 weeks X 3 years = 85,800 miles

85,800 miles / 10 mpg = 8,580 gal x $2.50 per gal = $21,250

85,800 miles / 30 mpg = 2,860 gal X $2.50 per gal = $7,150

Truck (21,250) - Car (7,150) = $14,100 FREAKING DOLLARS!

I just brought this mountaineer 4 months ago. Its used (2002) with 43K on it. I have payments of 359 a month still for 5 years. I don't want to be paying 359 bucks a month with an SUV that will have over 150,000 miles on it. I want to keep this thing young and going strong for at least 8 more years, so putting that kind of miles on it this early won't make it last as long as I'd like it too last

It doesn't matter because you are already upside down on your Mountaineer and it will always be so until the last payment is made.

Sounds like either someone has really bad credit and/or got ripped off.

Beater car? As paranoid you are about rattles in headliners, you'll run that thing off a cliff before you got it home!

Use your Mountaineer now. Save the cash you would use to buy a beater car, additional insurance, maintenance, registration, taxes, and Raoul's $14,000 in gas and use it as a down payment on a new freakin' Mountaineer in 8 years or whenever you get rid of this one!

My thought is the only way you will get your money out of that Mountaineer is drive the wheels off it. Go ahead and put the 150,000 on it. You will just spend a lot more on another car, maintenance, insurance, etc. and have this high dollar Mountaineer sitting at home. Get your money out of it by driving it.

Most young people get hit both ways.
I'm just saying it is what it is, don't treat it like an investment.

My driveway has four vehicles in it that have depreciated $100,000 over the last 10 years. Some investment I made.

Yeah, I am in a "jerk" mood today. I think I might have Rudy's for lunch. I fell like breaking something.

Its just one of those days
When you don't wanna wake up
Everything is ****ed
Everybody sux
You don't really know why
But you want justify
Rippin' someone's head off
No human contact
And if you interact
Your life is on contract
Your best bet is to stay away mother****er
It's just one of those days!!
