Earth is now melting at both ends... flooding will be likely..
I could be wrong but I don't believe that we had equipment to monitor ozone activity before the industrial revolution.
Wonder if that hole was always there?
Wonder if it has always grown and shrunk do to a natural process of a living planet.
I don't know call me a little different, but I theorize that if we manage to successfully neutralize the earths temperature to our desired comfort zone. I predict the earth would soon die and be nothing but a waste land unable to support life including human.
Fire is necessary for rejuvenation
Flooding is necessary for rejuvenation
Freezing is necessary for rejuvenation
Welcome to earth, the third rock from the sun.

Man has absolutely NO idea of what the temperatures and climates were hundreds of thousands of years ago. They can only guess and that don’t mean a damn thing.
Remember when man was stupid enough to think the world was flat, that we could not fly, nor go to the moon.
You really think there is anyone, or any group smart enough to predict what will happen because of the natural aspect of global warming?
Man has NOT nor could he ever make global warming happen. Man can NOT ever do anything to stop it either.
Light up the BBQ’s, continue to spew out smog with your auto’s and be happy because it will NOT hinder or harm mother earth EVER…
Next time some stupid moron scientist or tree hugger starts whining about global warming and MAN starting it just ask a simple question and watch them go blank. The question to ask is this:
HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE GOT OUT OF THE ICE AGE???
Works every time except for the really stupid ones. Ask them this, if there were 1,000 flies in the White House and they all crapped 20 times a day do you think after 10 years anyone would step in it and say ”Crap, I just stepped in a pile of fly crap…”

Perhaps I may have been incorrect in what man can and can not do. I remember some time ago watching a show on the Discovery channel, or one like it, that stated something to the affect that if we lit off all the nukes in the world we would essentially start a new ice age.
Therefore, don’t sweat global warming because if it really gets out of hand we know, or at least have a great educated guess at how to start over with a new ice age…
I think the problem is you have a bunch of “so-called” scientist that are just pissed off they can’t discover something really helpful so instead they make stupid predictions based off their own faulty and UN-scientific data. These were the nut cases that protested during their time in college and thus didn’t develop the necessary skills to be real scientist…

HMMMmmmm......
Follow the money.
Who gets rich from people crying about global warming?
How many environmental groups scream about it?
How would these do-gooders stay in BUSINESS without a platform?
Scare the crap out of alot of people and ask for money to do "research" into solving the problem, quite frankly, a problem that we can't solve. So what is the true motivation?
I read a good book about this subject. It was a novel but it did state fact and backed it up with verifiable resources.
The name of the book is "State of Fear". It's good reading and makes you think.

I remember hearing once that the oceans of the world release 800 times more freon gas in one year, than if every auto ac system ever made were to be opened at once.,,,,98
Did anyone else hear this fact/fiction, or am I mistaken? I think it was on one of those Discovery Channel shows a couple of years ago.

But in automobiles the conversion isn't that expensive. So we'll convert them or use Propane.
Refridgerators, AC units, etc are a little more to change over.

RIGHT now we are at the end of an Ice age. Guess what happens at the end of an ice age?
THE FRICKIN EARTH WARMS UP! green house gases build up until the temps drop and another ice age begins.
The Earth is billions o years old. Nothing we do in a few hundred years is going to make a bit of difference.

While I tend to concur with academia in that the warming trend is cyclic, it isn't as simple as disregarding it as something that mother nature throws at us once every several thousand years... there's too much correlation between greenhouse gases and factual changes that have occurred.
While we might be in the middle of something naturally cyclic, I think we as a human race have contributed to it in some fashion.

You are correct that geological studies can give generally accurate climate readings for periods of time. These periods of time are often measured in millennia, depending on the availability of data, out beyond written history. The past 1000 years are the most reliable for annual weather data.
I've seen examples where they will take cylinders of ice cored from deep under ground and analyze it and it gives scientists a pretty good idea of the general climate at that time (in fact a time line of sorts). I've seen them do the same with soil, rocks, heck even tree rings. While they cant get specifics they can get a pretty good idea.
I'm no environmentalist. I do however, love nature. I wouldn't want to see it destroyed carelessly. That said there has to be a compromise from the kyoto protocol and just careless abuse of the environment.
Again...I think the extreme lefties are wrong but I think that a complete disregard for any concern over the environment is wrong too. Yea the planet will survive but we wont...
I drive my F150 and cant stand those who shove green policies down our throats...but I'll do my part where I can.

That wasn't the case though...
To be more clear, we have produced a considerable amount more of the standard greenhouse 'heat-holding' gases... this, in my professional and personal opinion, could (not has... but could) contribute to and intensify an already cyclic pattern...
