Yep. That's why I say, it cant be stopped. There's nothing anyone can do about it. How many years ago did it happen last? Anyway, there were no planes, trains, or automobiles then. We cant blame it on these things. It's a natural occurrence on this planet.

If I remember right, there was an article in our newspaper on teh melting permafrost. The average temp of the world has increased by 1 degree over the past few years, the av. temp of North America has increased bt 2 degrees and the average temperature of Arctic North America has increased bt 3 degrees. The permafrost is melting, the tundra is sinking and large lakes are being formed. I have seen tis in the region where I live. Our glaciers (larges ice fields in the world) have taken a beating too. I have seen the glaciers near Anchorage melted back tremendously. In 1972, while on our honeymoon to Anchorage, one glacier in particular was accessible by walking about 200 yards from the parking lot. Last Christmas, I noticed the glacier is about 2 miles away from the original parking lot. Now that's a lot of melting in 33 years.

I HATE ENVIRONMENTALISTS... FOr this very reason.

As everyone know (or should know) the earth has a cycle, it goes from ice age to not ice age and back. for BILLIONS of years.

RIGHT now we are at the end of an Ice age. Guess what happens at the end of an ice age?

THE FRICKIN EARTH WARMS UP! green house gases build up until the temps drop and another ice age begins.

The Earth is billions o years old. Nothing we do in a few hundred years is going to make a bit of difference.

EXACTLY!

Well put.

When you release this much gas in this short amount of time something is bound to happen

It is just helping the cycle along. It's NOT the problem though.

Yeah, I miss worded that post, sorry.

It isn't the ONLY cause. I hate to hear people say, "Global Warming is because of the use of fossil fuels polluting the earth."

It more then that. If that's the case, someone please explain the previous Ice Age. There wasn't any cars then.

Or am I all wrong on this?

Doesn't SAJEFFC have a gross animated picture of David hasslehoff in a santa suit on a dancing pole?

That's what the "new" Santa would look like.
