I think there is some meaning behind the word "Performance Tune"...but it may be just me...hmm. I wish there was a way to say that all in one sentence, I'd make it my damn signature. I just don't buy the excuse, "I could care less if I am slower than the competition." Maybe I'm biased.

I don't like that truck. I don't like Toyota.

somehow that truck can now tow up to 10,000 pounds??? HOW???

It will be just like the Titan, blowing rear ends, brake problems, engines over heating etc.

You are correct that I am competitive, I hve some of the early performance mods ( 1714 ) and magnaflow from Troyer. These were purchased for two reasons, the throttle response was terrible and in backing up trailors etc it was nice to have somthing that helped that. The exhaust well, you got me there the stock one was boring. Again there was no offense intended, but it seems that some on here are to worried about speed, and use this as a measuring stick against others manufactures. My comment was more geared toward the fact that if the Toyoyta is faster so be it, but my guess is they will not be able to take the payload or tow as well as or trucks can.

Very respectful response, no harm intended on my end either, I hope it cannot tow the previously mentioned 10k lbs it's supposed to. Mountanier, what in the hell are you talking about, we don't know what kind of problems its going to have.

first year after a make over ALWAYS have problems! Look at Ford itself on the 04 F150, look at the 04 Titan, look at the 97 F150, all with a lot of frist year problems. Toyota will have the problems too, they have to figure out over the next year what will go wrong with the 2007 modle Tundra before fixing the problems for 2008 and so on. anyone would know this infomation, but I guess u didn't

PS: Go back down to GD.

I haven't read all 3 pages of this thread yet, but I'll give my opinion here...

Nice truck on the OUTSIDE. Hideous on the INSIDE!!! But that 5.7L has got to kick our butts

Wow, I'm glad somebody posted this in the 04-06 F150 forum...I never would have seen it otherwise! Thanks FX4&Excursion! I think that's going to be a very popular truck, and it should be. Toyota may make some very plain-jane vanilla vehicles, but they look good, last a long time, and rarely have problems. I traded in a Tacoma when I bought my F150. At my current mileage rate, my F150 will have about 40,000 miles when it's paid off at 60 months. Who knows what I'll buy at that time...maybe they'll make it in yellow.

The way the back seats sit are the only thing appealing to me, but I bought this truck for me, not for the passenger. I just can't see such a small truck having oomph, I have imagination problems.

I like the look, I need to drive one to finalize my opinion but if it performs anything like I think its going to that makes it look even better. Plus you know it will be well designed.

What problems did the 97 F 150's have? The only problem I am aware of is the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheel pitted the wheel.Other than that I haven't had any problems out of the ordinary.Mine has 157K miles and all I have replaced is tie rod ends and u-joints and I also replaced brakes and tires a few times.I still have the original plugs, wires and coils.

Main one the 97 f150 was on the body, it had to do with the doors cracking from a defect in the design. 2004 f150 the main one was the Vibration which could not be fixed which a lot of guys here had the truck brought back from Ford due to it. Titans had problems with there brakes and the rear ends exploding. Toyotas will have problems too the frist year out no doubt about it? what problems? I have no idea yet, but well soon find out.
