All of you guy's that speak so highly of Toyota.. ... WHY did you buy Ford and not Toyota?? That would be like me buying a Toyota and then going on a Toyota website and then arguing with other Toyota owners that brand X that they don't like is so great. Stirring the pot?

FINALLY someone who I can relate too about this! I have been tryign to ask these guys as well why did they buy a Ford instead of a Jap truck, but no one will answer to it.

doesn't make sence to me either why people praise toyota, then go out and buy an F150

I bought the 04 back in 03 because I wanted to have a new body style F150 before everyone else around here.

I did not need a new truck, I traded a 02 lariat with only 18,000 miles to the 04, so had I actually needed a new truck and researched other trucks the ford would have most likely not have been my choice.

Trust me, it won't be an F150 that replaces the 04.

Your question is answered.

Same reason I didn't buy a Chevrolet over a Ford... They didn't have a Lightning.

So, you have the "Built Ford Tough" logo on your signature but think Toyota is more reliable than Ford, yet you bought another Ford based solely on looks without doing any research, spending probably $35,000 plus?
Wow.

I found this very interesting to read. I went on a Tundra forum just now and read about 130 reviews from Tundra owners on what the think of the new 07 Tundra. Most say they like the new style, but then add by saying it's to big of a truck for what they need a truck for. Most Tundra owners found themselfs saying that they went to a Tundra for the size of the truck it was, not big, but not to small, but a lot say if they needed a bigger truck, they would have gone to the F150.

Bassically, owners of Tundra are happy they have the current body style as it fits there needs as not a big truck, but dissapointed in the size of the 07's as there to big for what Tundra owners use a truck for.

Kinda makes you wonder if Toyota made a mistake as owners don't like how big it got.

Hey Jimmy, honestly, I don't think it's meant to be said that Toyota is better than Ford or vice versa. I think it's more of the fact that a lot of people on this site does NOT want to give credit to anyone except Ford. It's almost like there should be no other Auto Maker except Ford according to some people. I think a lot of this is taken out of context, like Toyota makes a great car/truck and die hard Ford fans take that is an insult. I think if someone builds a great product, auto, TV, Motorcycle whatever and it's good, then they should be able to be given credit without people saying that they think Ford is crap. I have a Honda, Kia and Ford, and I will give credit to them all from my experience of being great cars, but other people expect only Ford to make a great car and no one else.

just my 0.02

You should feel embarrassed every time you are attempting to write a post here without misspelling every other word. Get over it man . Toyota's coming up fast and the old cliché holds a "lead, follow or get out of the way.

Yep.

Ford lost focus on the built ford tough in the new trucks. Mine is starting to get more rattles than tritoneer's worst nightmare, however my old 99 that has been flipped 5 times and repaired back is more solid than the 04.

Ford is behind in quality, and power.

Look at the new navigator with the same ol boring 300hp 5.4 and compare that to the cadillac escalade with a 6.2 with 403hp.

Mr. Ford better be doing something quick.

You have to admit though, you do beat your truck though, so obviously thigns are going to lossen up no?

and about ford beind in quality, thats just your opinion though. My trucks have rattles in them from me taking them apart, it was never fords fault to begine with.

we still have an 02 and an 05 F150, and both trucks are rattle free, and seem to have pretty good quailty all in all.

Well they didn't on the other 3 F150's I had.

Again, didn't you have a problematic 04 F150 that was bought back?
