It "may" be safe to say that the other 2199 mothers think she is a complete nut case...

I could understand her point if her son was enlisted under a draft, but he chose to go, he knew the risks, and I am grateful for his service. I just hope he forgives his mother for her actions.

This one is going to get ugly.

I just don't see how he can get away with saying all of the things he said just because thats what people want to hear. . I don't get how he can see immigrants working at a lower cost is helping the American economy, more like killing the common. I'd love to know how he got the figure that Welfare claims have dropped 50% Now thats just unreasonable, we all know thats not true. I don't get how for more than half of the address he spoke about other countries. Im pretty sure we were all watching the State of the Union tonight, which SHOULD be about America but he barely talked about America and when he did, it was all over the place. I also want to understand how he can tell us that hes going to lower taxes and reduce the national debt by huge margins? We'd all love that but how the hell does he plan on doing it? I do not understand how he was telling all of America how great our economy is, when in all reality. The current economy compares to the economy of our country when we were in the Great Depression.

I couldn't agree more.

The mother of a dead soldier who's life was thrown away for the price of oil has no right to wear an anti-war t-shirt.

We don't need these wacko mothers that raise honor students, eagle scouts, college graduates and soldiers. She's obviously been taken advantage by the radical gays and communists, not to mention that life time member of the NRA, Michael Moore.

Besides, she's scaring our president. How can we expect him to keep our buildings from being attacked, cities from going underwater, budget surpluses from turning into deficits and the price of oil under control, prisoners from being tortured, CIA agents from being outed, Enemies from building nuclear weapons if he's too scared to come out and give a speech with her in the room?

Who the hell does she think she is? She must think she has the right to free speech or she lives in a democracy or something.

The economy doesnt come close to what it was in the great depression. Look around, everyone owns a brand new vehicle, house or lives pretty high of the hog. Granted its not for all cases but it is for alot of the average people. And it really p*sses me off when people blame Bush for the crappy economy. ITS NOT HIS FAULT. He can NOT help that the previous president (Clinton) was an egg head and started the downslide of our economy. But of course clinton got out in time to where it looks like it all went down hill when bush took over.

And for all those who dont think we should be in iraq/iran/afghanastan....i bet you would all think different if you have lost a loved one due to terrorist. It kills me that you probably dont know half the crap thats really going on. All you know is what the d*amn biased media WANTS us to know. It doesnt take much to make a president look bad when we loose a few thousand soldiers in WAR. But nobody can write a story on how thousands and thousands of people were rescued. To all men/women that were KIA they have my sympathy. They took the responsibility and choice to be involved the military. One of my best buddies is giong to be based in Bagdad in march. Hes excited. Theres about 6 guys around my town that are over there right now, ones i used to hang out with. And they are all glad they are over their.

This is an endless debate. But i just thought id slap a few cents down. But then again...thats all from my perspective.

You know, I'm grateful for the soldiers over in Iraq. I'm grateful for the future soldiers that was to join the military and fight. I cant thank them enough!

The way I see it, EVERYONE over there VOLUNTEERED for the job. As I recall, there is no draft. When they signed up, he or she should have known that someday, war might come and they would have to be deployed. And in war, casualties happen. I know its a dark thing to say but its true.

Two days before Christmas, a good friend of mine was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. It's a tragedy. But I know he wanted to join the military, knowing of what would happen and where he would go. He died doing something he wanted to do, and for that I am happy for him. Not because he was killed, but because he knew of what might have happened, which unfortunately did, but he still embraced it. He knew what he was getting into. My prayers still go out to him and his family to this day.

Again, I thank EVERYONE in the US Military. Thank you very much for serving this great country!

I don't believe that there's one person that's a part of this site and is in the military that doesn't believe we should be over there. As a nation, we should all be tired of being kicked around. No one respects us. And why should they? Vietnam, Marine barracks in Lebenon, Somolia, OK City, WTC, etc... We've been beat down long enough that it's time we've taken a stand and re-asserted that we are not to be F'ed with. Is our govnt perfect? Only a fool would believe that.
However, for all you people who don't like this nation, get out. See how the other side lives. If you like it, stay. Otherwise come back and be grateful of the men and women who died and are still dying so that you have the right to your way of life. In my opinion, this country is the best thing going. I don't agree with a lot, but there is no Utopia. And for those of you who think that you know whats going on, wake up. There's so many things that we don't know about this war. WE elected that officials who run it. THEY decide what we need to know and how to run it. So take a look at things from a real perspective, raise your kids right, and do unto others as you'd have them do to you.

(The excesssive use of the word "you" was directed at no one inpaticular. I wasn't attacking anyone here b/c I know that 95% of you feel about the way I do )

Do homegrown nuts/terrorists count? Cuz I have a picture of a chair in "The Field of Empty Chairs" at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. It has the name of another cousin who was 22, on her 5th day of work at the credit union in the fed. building.

Don't hold your breath on that one -- I don't think the Democrats are retarded enough to give her the nod in 2008!

Running Hillary would almost assure the Republican candidate (whomever he or she might be) of victory. Hillary is the candidate of choice only amongst the "lunatic fringe" of the Democratic Party.

Unfortunately, this relatively small minority has deluded themselves into thinking that they represent the "mainstream" of American society. So who knows -- maybe they are retarded enough to run Hillary!
