Anyway, you make my point of how the uneducated are very easy to lead in this country. I made my point and it was quite simple for most people to understand.
Today if you drive a Ford you can get up front parking, tomorrow if you’re white and drive a Ford you get up front parking, the next day if you’re white, drive a Ford and are not fat, you get up front parking.
Next week if you’re white, drive a Ford, not fat and don’t eat meat, you get up front parking.
As long as you do what your Daddy (Ford) tells you to do you get up front parking. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, and oh by the way your daddy (Ford) will be handing you a pink slip…
Turn in next week when Ford makes their employees jump up and down while clapping their hands to get up front parking, love watching the mindless in action…

Let's face it, before the 500, Fusion and to a lesser extent, the Focus came out, the only thing Ford built that was worth a damn was the trucks (F-Series, Explorer & Clones, the Crown Vic and the Mustang)
1.) Not everyone wants, likes or needs a truck, of any size.
2.) Explorers are cool; but they've endured their share of controversy with the tire shredding. Firestone blaming Ford's design, Ford blaming Firestone...)
3.) Mustang: If you can't afford the V-8, why bother?
4.) Crown Victoria: Typecast as an "Old Folks car" (I like 'em, but the reputation is still there...

Taurus: How many people dream of the day they can go buy a brand new Taurus? The last redesign was the best Taurus to date (Except the SHO iterations) but it was still bland. This car, in no way, stands up to the build quality or comfort of it's main rivals: Accord, Camry, Altima, Maxima, and to a lesser extent- Galant and the Subaru. Today, even Hyundai is smoking the Taurus with the new Sonata. Kia's Optima is even knocking on the door...
Contour: Again; this is a car destined for rental fleets. No child sees a Countour go by and says "That's my car!". There were no kids aspiring to own a Contour, and the only people that bought them, were people that needed transportation, and for whatever reason, they couldn't get an Accord DX, or a base Malibu. (The SVT Contour was nice though, but pricey; might as well get a Maxima.)
Escort: What used to be a fun car, became a coupe, and people lost interest... Remember the Escort GT's from the late 80's & early 90's? Those cars were kinda sexy... But, thanks to Ford design, they went from sugar to sh*t...
Fiesta: Not even as cool as a metro. No match what-so-ever for a Tercel, Civic, Corolla, Accent, or anything else on the road. Nuff said.
Ranger: Excellent little truck, but not the ideal transportation choice for a family. Not well suited to a long trip; refused to follow competition into the crew cab... A good choice, but obviously not the best choice.
Windstar/Freestar: You could take that van to any ghetto, leave the door open, tank full of gas, key in the ignition and the engine running- with Free Van on the windshield; and the only person that would take it is a crackhead that was looking for something to sell for another rock.
Only recently has Ford put good looking vehicles on the road... The jury is still out on them. So, yes- the parkign lot is Ford's property, and they have the right to designate parking- true enough... Nevertheless, it sends a bad message (Our employees don't even drive our cars & trucks), not to mention the childish and idiotic factor.
I agree with what someone said above... If you truly want your employees to represent you, you should give them company cars. Or, build the best cars, and maybe, just maybe, your employees will be inspired to buy them...
And yes, I've seen McDonald's employees walk across the street to get food from other resturants...
When I worked for GM (indirectly); I drove a Nissan, even with my GM Employee discount in hand... Once a car burns you, in my case twice- it's hard to give them another chance; even if you work for them.

When I worked at the Hershey's Chocolate factory, we were not allowed to eat anything but Hershey's candy bars (you could eat Hershey's Kisses for snacks).
Needless to say, everyone died of malnutrition (except me because I cheated and ate whatever I wanted to when I got home).
Then when I worked at the Coca-Cola plant, we were not allowed to drink anything but Coke (when you brushed your teeth you were allowed to use Sprite) (God, I wish Dasani was a Coke branded product back then . . . a lot less people would have died).
Again, I survived by being a rebel and drinking water on the sly.
And when I worked at NBC, we were given General Electric televisions that could only receive NBC stations . . . we weren't allowed to watch anything else. Soon, everyone there started sounding like Tom Brokaw reciting lines from Days Of Our Lives.
But not me. I expanded my mind by watching Dan Rather on CBS (OK . . . it didn't really expand my mind since Rather was retarded, but you get the idea).

We have a 96 Ford Windstar and it's been one hell of a van for us! The only major problem is the rear air conditioner went out on it around 98K which was covered under warrenty under ESP.
What your opinion is about Ford vehicals is totally different in other minds which is why people do buy there cars! Yes, Ford thought more about the truck market then there cars, but trucks and SUV's are in demand as they still out number cars, but now that gas is up so high, people are looking for cheep gas saving cars to drive to work and back. Ford makes good reliable cars, which is what the people want!
I can go on and on all day about this but I'm not going too. You and I never saw eye to eye about vehicals and probably never will, so I'll try to let your own opinions go as there just YOUR opinions and not facts.

I'll just add this… If I'm wrong, why didn't those cars out-sell their rivals? Where are the Escort, Fiesta, Contour, and soon, the Taurus now? Dead or dying, that's where...
Sure, some people bought them, then again, some people buy cassettes, even though everyone knows CD's are better.
The goal (For Ford) is to get back in the lead; not continue to follow, and Bill Ford realizes that. I just heard him speaking about the threat facing the American auto industry. He went on to say Ford is working to get back in the lead through design and innovation (Something they've been lacking, which you know as well as I do.)... I hope they succeed.
I didn't say the Windstar was a POS mechanically; what I said about it was speaking toward its design, its appearance, its sales… If the (original) Pontiac Aztek was the best-built and most over-built car in the world mechanically; few would want it because it's not attractive.
One last tidbit: Before you try to insult anyone's intelligence or ability to comprehend. You might want to take a few English classes; or at the very least, pay attention to the teachers.

Are you not the person that has a ton of post about how crappy Ford vehicles are? Problems with squeaks, rattles etc? Speaks a lot to how you value “quality”.
Ford does have a lot of bland, boring, and unexciting vehicles. Other then the Mustang I would never purchase one of Ford’s cars, I might rent one in a pinch but never own a current model they make other then the Mustang.
Fords new F150 is a perfect example of **** poor design, in my opinion, it looks like they let the designers spend about 15 minutes to put some straight metal parts together and left out any style or character that the pre-04’s had, not to mention the cheap materials of the interior. People thought the pre-04 F150 had cheap plastic interior but the new 04’s make the pre-04’s seem like luxury.
The concept SVT F150 Lightning is ugly as hell and I would rather own a new Dodge SRT-10 then the concept SVT F150 Lightning. I purchased my 2003 Lightning just for that reason…

Let's face it Burt, there are other segments of society out there than the one we know and understand. Not all segments base vehicle purchase solely on 'cool' there are segments that base part of their purchase dollar on practicallity. As far as affordability, I'm sure a 4x4 Explorer stickered for less than my 1995 loaded Windstar but, to be honest I don't really know because I never looked at one, much less drooled on the window.Plus, we both know the only reason I haven't bought this web site is it doesn't have a spellcheck.

What truck in your opinion is "best" since you hate Ford so much?

Honda ridge line Kicks the F-150' but...quailty, performance, ride and handeling, You can't call the ridge line a truck, I view it more as a car as a ridge line owner will never work it to the extent that I work my F-150, The ridge line is more expensive than a F-150 but V6 is rated at 255H/P, that's more than the 4.6 in a F-150.
The Titan, Ridge line are prime examples of excellant offering's, If Ford has to tell it's workers this by banning Non Ford Products than Ford is all ready admiting it has infieror products....
What you drive, or how you get to work is no indication of your job skills...

It is not ”TOTALLY, ABSOLUTLY, WRONG!” it is my opinion and the opinion of many other people I know and don’t know.
Don’t get so upset because it’s not my fault that Ford, in my opinion, dropped the ball when it came to the exterior and interior design of the new F150.
Now, go back and re-read my originally post, breath while you read it and comprehend what it states. No where does it state I “hate” Ford. It does mention I think the concept of GenIII Lightning is absolutely ugly and that the only product Ford has currently that I would consider purchasing is the Mustang. Other then that there is nothing that interest me.
Everything else Ford offers can be replaced by any other manufacture when it comes to the use of the vehicle. There are other trucks that can replace the Ford and do the same thing. In general, a truck is a truck, and what distinguishes one truck from another truck is basically design. All manufactures, including Ford, has their defects that reach the public.
It has nothing to do with “hate” and a lot to do with cost cutting measures to produce bland, boring, and unexciting vehicles. Ford rates number 1 currently in that department…
[QUOTE]
acually, in my opinion, the 2004+ F150's are the nicest of any truck on the road, inside and outside. 97-03's in my opinion a "womens" truck. Just doesn't look tough but Ford made up for that in 04 and as always, it still is America's Best Selling truck now for 29 years is it now?? Obviously a ton of people love the looks of the F150 or else they would not be buying them.
