whos getting sick of reading about toyota's on here?
Well everyone seems to be praising toyota. I'd say screw that. My dad got a brand new toyota tacoma and the dash has rattled since we picked it up. Bed on it sqweaks also. It only has 3OK miles on it. There not perfect by no means.
there are these two clowns on a morning radio show here in boston..
well i dont listen anymore
seems toyota "gave" both of them a voucher to get a "free" truck of their choice
so now once an hr every hr i have to listen to them brag about going shopping and what they saw and what they drove and how they were treated and how they just love toyota...
and its not a "commercial"
its live "improv"
and on tuesday after the news as read by the staff about ford and the layoffs they go right into "shopping for a toyota"
whats wrong with the world???
and now that toyota is in nascar
i'm going drag racing again
...zap!

History is no guarantee of success.
Being new at something is no guarantee of failure.
We're losing the auto wars because our cars don't match up...
Wen we build better products, we'll get our customer's back...
We have to quit tryign to aspire to meet the standard set by the Japanese.
We have to set the standard... A new and higher standard.
We still do it in trucks, why not in cars?

Sorry I'm a little late to get in on this, but here's what I think (if anyone really cares...). In the 50's and 60's, all of the goods coming from Japan were crap. There's no two ways about it, they mass produced crap and flooded our market. The reason people started buying the Jap crap is because even though it was of inferior quality at the time, it was a whole lot cheaper. You could but two or three items from Japan that you'd pay for an American item. After people started buying the cheap Japanese stuff, the Jap companies built up capital, and started improving quality. It was a genius strategy, because it worked! If you don't think it was planned out like that, you might want to jump into some history books. I'm not a big supporter of buying non-american things, but for stuff like tools, I'm a big user of Japanese crap. I can buy 4 cheap sets of wrenches for the price of one Craftsman or Mac set, and if I mess one up, I throw it away and don't think twice. I have a real good set of MAc tools, but why use a hammer on them when the Jap stuff is so cheap?
The argument can go on and on as far as what manufacturer to buy a paticular product from, but I buy the best quality product for my money. I will always look at American products first, and will try to make them fit my needs, but if they don't match up, I have to buy what does...It's our economy and our way of life, and it's not going to change, so minds well use the system to your advantage.
