How much have you saved!

Howdy!

Just wondering how much money people out there have saved by reading these forums and "self-diagnosing" problems and or fixing problems themselves.

also how much have you spent after seeing other members mods?

I've saved thousands and thousands of dollars maintaining 5 vehicles that aren't under warranty. I won't touch transmissions or some computer problems. But I've probably done just about everything else. My most recent job was replacing the rear main seal on my Sons Grand Cherokee with the V8. Total cost was around $75.

Since 1999 this website has cost me thousands!

Tires
wheels
intakes
air filters
exhaust
tuner
bed cover
gps units, (3)
sat radio
bug deflector
shocks
synthetic oil
and a bunch of stuff I am forgetting that I have bought for 5 vehicles in the last 9 years.

I can't put a dollar amout on what I have saved. Although I tell the wife it's in the millions!

But if you own a Ford, this is the place to be. Got some great people here that are willing to take the time to take photos, look up TSB's, and share their experience.

Before I joined here all I had on my truck was the exhaust, a simple Sony CD player, and tint. Now, I have added lots of more stuff, and cost me plenty of money. But, I have saved lots of money by buying some of this stuff from people on here. Only thing I couldn't do my self was the blend door...

I've had few problems that I would have paid to of had fixed anyway, so money is less than $1000.

Time on the other hand.
Countless wrenching hours have been saved from here by me.
