Count another G30 here with Golden Sabres.....just got it ....and just got my concealed permit.
I carried it to the store and to get pizza one night and felt a little self-conscious. Felt like everyone was staring at me.......It was fully concealed though. I just felt weird. So, now I mainly keep it in the truck.

Carry permit here. Keep Colt Officers Model .45 in SS. 200 Gr., Hollow points. It will stop a truck if need be.

Eventually, you'll get used to it. When I first started carrying, I always thought some mom with her kids would look at me and yell "GUN!!!" at the grocery store or something. Just act natural and don't give yourself away...with a good holster, almost any gun will disappear. Don't fidget or constantly adjust your setup either. It helps to carry around the house just to get familiar with it. Before too long, you won't even realize it's there.

That's what I was doing.... I kept feeling like it was going to show a bit and I would have some explaining to do. I think I need a better holster......not sure what will work though..... I have a belt holster that does not conceal very well.

I have a G30....

I carry a Glock 19 in a Sidearmor IWB holster. Super solid rig, doesn't move, it's got external allen screws for tension adjustment for holding the pistol. Their service is a little slow though, mainly 'cause they're a small company and they do have law enforcement/military committments too. But I can't recommend them enough.

I am 5'11'' and about 165#'s, so hiding the gun in the small of my back is my best option. But in the warmer months, finding a shirt to conceal it well is difficult, which is why it usually sleeps in my truck. I have been wanting to buy another Sig, something with a smaller frame, but the same caliber (.40 S&W), or I have considered the .357 sig. Anyone have any recommendations? Once again, very happy with my Sig and not looking to switch brands.

NO GLOCKS ---->

Might want to try a Sig P239. I carry one in the 9mm version in a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. They are available in .357 Sig and .40 as well. It's got a thin profile for IWB carry and single stack mag. I've been very happy with mine. If you find it too thin or small to hold onto (big hands), you might try the P229. It's just about the same size, but has a thicker grip and a double stack, higher capacity mag.

This .40 Walther P99 is for formal occasions. I have a KelTec 32 for those hot summer months.

This is what I carry. I have an Uncle Bucks Holster the can be worn in or out of the pants waist.

This is my Kimber TacticalPro II in 45 ACP.

This I carry at times, but it is more for fun when I want to do some match shooting.
Kimber Gold Match in 45 ACP.

Also have a Highpoint 45 that is kind of a saturday night special. Doesnt shoot worth crap and isnt very accurate, but it makes a good nightstand gun.

I almost always have one in the truck with me, I have a holster mounted in the console were it is always in quick reach.

Shelp, like quinten said, wear it around the house for a while, while doing stuff in the yard, what ever, helps get use to it. I hardly ever notice mine now.

Wife gets pissed if I am going to do some match shooting because I will walk around the house playing quick draw and dropping clips and reloading another.(all empty of course)

Sled...

Awesome! Thanks for the information and the reply! I went to Sigs website and those were the two I was looking at. Although I havent made it to the dealer yet, does anyone have any information regarding the .357 sig? I dont know an awful lot about it, I do know I do not want a 9mm. I am assuming the .357 sig is kind of "in between" the 9mm and the .40 S&W. So, I was looking at it as the best of both worlds. More mag. capacity like the 9mm, but with close to the knock down power of the .40 , does this sound correct? After reading this thread I am getting a little more excited about going out and purchasing another pistol, so keep the feedback coming! Any input is appreciated!

I'll be buying one or two guns in teh very near future. One for my mom (Probably a double-barrell, or short-barrell pump action 12 guage) and a Desert Eagle .357 or .44 for me...

If I don't cheap out, and get two pumps...

The only crime I worry about is the home invasion style here in North-Dallas/Plano. But, three SOB's tried to break in my Mom's house a week ago whiel she was asleep...

She has a .38 special; but, I don't want her to have to worry too much about aiming. Just point & click.

God help those SOB's if that had happened when I was there. Somebody saw them, and scared them off; two men and one woman.
