So, now I'm depressed...

A good friend of mine from high school/college with whom I still keep up with just sent me a link for a reunion site for our high school. We're having our 10 year this summer... I feel so old, and un-accomplished...

Well, the site also allows you to sign up, post pix and a little update on yourself... I hardly recognized most of the people in the pix... It just sucks that I had so many good friends, and only seen a few since graduation... Some are doing great, some seemed to be getting by...

It was cool to find out where some of them are, but... IDK... kinda weird to see all my old friends without hair, and a couple kids... I'm finally getting married this fall, no kids, and no major accomplishments in my life, except getting my degree and holding this boring job for almost 4 years...

It just seems so funny that all the things adults told me about or complained about are happening to me, and now I'm telling kids those same things...

Yep, the 10th can be a shocker. Some people achieved things you never thought possible for them, others not much. I am coming up on my 45th, we will feel lucky to just be alive.

Sounds about like me! Well except I did buy a house and have not proposed.....at least not yet....but probably will be within the next 2 yrs.

So if you graduated in 96', went to college for 4 yrs and worked 4yrs, what happened to the other 2 yrs?

Send in this picture and tell them you are a goat herder.

Then when they see what you really look like and what you do, your stock will go up.

Works for me.

Had some family problems, so I took off for 2 years to work right after my junior year. Got things sorted out, got everyone back on their feet, and went back to school... I worked in IT for Wal-Mart and JB Hunt for those 2 years. Tied to at a desk at a big corporation all day drove me crazy...

I never got invited to my reunion (I wonder if it was the country music and Ford stationwagon) and I only moved a block from where my old address ....

I wouldnt have gone regardless....

1. I didnt care about 99.9% of them then and the .1% are like me and wouldnt come.
2. I still don't care about 99.9% of them
3. I'm content and happy with my life and accomplishments and dont feel the need to compare and contrast myself to those I went to high school with.
(That's right I ended the sentence with a preposition)

I'm making decent money but have turned down jobs making much more money because of the time they required away from the wife and kids.

If we are comparing W-2s I'm sure alot of the folks have a larger number in box #1.

If we are comparing W-4s I'm sure some folks have a larger number on line D.

I've always thought they were a waste so I never went. I went with my wife to her's and they loved comparing themselves to each other.

Now if there was an F150online reunion I'd come to just hang out and have fun.

I'd like to say that I've never been fired from a job in my life.

I've had jobs where they stopped paying me and I eventually quit showing up but, I ain't never been fired.

Bet if you made more money you'd get a hotter woman. Could probably buy a smarter kid too compared to the one with your genes.

I am sure that was an imposter. can't be UC.

But I agree Vader. I could have made more had I been willing to travel and spend many hours away from my family. Life is too short for that and a family is too valuable. keep up the good work.

So basically you're saying you are a quitter.

I'm a victim of circumstance.

If we can declare war on 'terror', then I can be a victim of 'circumstance'.
