Well, I have some nerve damage, but no tendon damage. That's a good thing. I think the hand will be ok. Thanks Karen.

Depending how bad it is, the nerves may heal up. Some years ago, I cut one of my fingers bad enough that I had no feeling at the tip. It took about 6 months, but the nerves healed up enough that the feeling came back. Slowly, but it did come back with no lose. Hope it works that way for you.

Thats what everyone has been telling me. I cant wait till I can use my thumb again. It's a major pain to go without one.

The thumb is something we take for granted. Until we are without, we don't realize how important it is to us. Hope all heals well.

That's good to hear. Good luck and stay away from sharp objects for a while!

Thanks for that information kingfish. The finger that I sliced a few weeks ago has a bad numb spot just above the cut. The actual cut is pretty much healed but it's still painful and there is that annoying numb spot. Now I see I'm looking at about 6 months or so before I get the feeling back. . .if it comes back. . .

I can only say it worked for me that way. Hopefully it will come back sooner for you.

I would like to say, My B/G results have been below 200 the last week. Lowest 89....highest 157.

Get this chit.

I cut my hand bad Saturday night. It seems like bad luck is following me around. I cut a nerve or two, and the doc wants me to see an orthopedic surgeon to check for tendon damage. Just my luck.
I sent another one using the email form here - if you are not getting them - check the email on file in your profile and check your spam folder

My email is in my sig

Well, my thumb seems to be getting better. I can now touch my thumb and pinky together. Hurts like hell, but I am starting to get my mobility back. It wont be long and I will be able to play video games again.

And after all, that's what is truly the most important thing, isn't it??

Nah, I'm J/K Jamzypoo! Glad your thumb is getting better, hope the whole hand follows suit!
