I don't think that would pass then. I think we can use .50 in black powder though but it just wouldn't be the same.

not the same weapons at all totally different. Mine is a .50 cal ap bolt action shooting 662 grain amour percing tracer rounds (thats all i could find) up to and beyound 1000 yards. Not legal for hunting anywhere (except iraq). it weighs in at 47.6 lbs and cost is over 3,500$ Here's a pic...

A rancher out here in Colorado did that after losing 3 head of cattle the year before. He's not a dumb F@%#, the person behing the scope that can't tell the difference between a cow and a bull elk is!

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before somebody sues him for cruelty to animals I'm sure spray paint can't be all that healthy.

Amusing story though!

That's not entirely correct.... Im gonna have to go back and re-read what ACTUALLY happened.. but best I recall..

A group of hunters came across this guy, who coult speak english WELL, who they'd asked to leave their property once before. They told him to leave again and he complied with no incodent. The hunters then began yelling racial slurs at him while he was walking away. Still, he complied. Then one of the hunters shot *at* him... not shooting to kill him, just to scare him. The bullet hit the ground beside him. Then he turned around and murdered the initial shooter and a few others...

So... He *shouldnt* have killed them, but they REALLY shouldnt have shot at him.

I dunno the final verdict of the case.. it was on court TV about a month ago.

instead of orange paint the old farmer should have gotten some of those reflective triangles that go on trash trucks and tractors and "attached" them to the cows instead

...zap!

I didn't keep up with that story. Figured people would just bash hunters then the gun activist would start eventually pissing me off. Sounded like self defense to me. Who's to say the rest of the group of hunters didn't return fire when he shot the initial shooter.

Your version may be more correct than mine. I am from WI and it happened here in WI so the WI reporters probably left out all the bad crap that the WI hunters did to deserve what they got. We all know how the press works to twist things to make it a better story for the people that they need to work with later.

Very true. The press DOES twist fact around to sound good in the papers.

That is what I heard/seen on Court TV about the case.

I dont know what I would have done in his situation. I would want to turn around and shoot the guy shooting at me, but... THATS MURDER!.. I dont know.. How I'm never in a situation like that.

Corpse of man had been mistaken for deer

FRANKLIN, Pa. - Police said a man who died after being struck by a vehicle may have been left on a roadside for days because his body was apparently mistaken for a dead deer.

The man was found on Monday by a motorist, who at first thought the man was a deer because of tan clothing and snow that covered part of his body. The motorist realized the man wasn't a deer after noticing his shoes, police said.

Authorities believe that many others drove past the body, assuming it was a deer.

The man was a passenger in a vehicle that wrecked last Friday. Police say he'd been walking along the road when he was hit and killed by another vehicle.

Why is shooting someone that is shooting at you murder? More like self defense isn't. US Soldiers are no to fire unless fired upon...he was fired upon if the story is true. I also hope that I'm never in that situation. If you don't want to be shot at, don't start shooting.
