Oakleys Question
I've had 4 pairs of Oakleys. Left one pair in a restaurant, dog ate one pair, and I still got the other two. They are good glasses. The guy at the mall talked me into Polarized Revo's last time I bought glasses. These are my favorite glasses I have ever owned. Price really doesn't matter when it comes to protecting your eyes.
I recommend Gargoyle Legends. A good pair cost about $90.00, great ballistic protection, wide FOV, very rugged, light weight, have saved my eyes on many occasions. Arnold and the late Dale Earnhardt wore them.

I bought a pair of $100 custom made clip-on sunglasses. Had thm for about 2 months, then promptly destroyed them by leaving them on the hood of my truck while taking a photograph, then drove away, and they flew off, just as a truck was going past in the opposite direction. Crunch!
Anyhow, I went into a Shoppers Drugmart and saw a pair that kinda fit my spectacles. Bought them for $9. That was about a year ago. I have dropped, stepped on, kicked, put in pockets with keys, sprayed solvent on and basically tortured them. I have only one very miniscule scratch. I haven't a clue what make they are, or what they are made out of, but they do have UV total protection, and they work fantastic as a filter for my camera. I can drive right into the setting sun and still see what's on the road in front of me. I used to ride a Harley without a windshield, and I have had many bugs, rocks and sandblasts, but the glasses are still almost like new.
OK. So now that I've bragged about my $9 sunglasses, I'll probably destroy them tomorrow. Murphey's Law.

Through the years riding bicycles, I have accumulated several pairs of Oakley's. Including two pairs of Pro M Frames. I was riding in the mountains several years ago, when a pair of frames snapped, causing the glasses to drop to the ground at over 25 MPH. I called Oakley, and they said to send them back. They claimed they would replace the frames. I send the frames and the lens back. They replaced the frames and also the lens because they were scratched from hitting the road surface. NO CHARGE.
I also sent back an old set of FROGS that had become cloudy through the years. They denied the request to replace them citing:
Oakley Frogs are not meant to be left in the sun for long periods of time, therefore we cannot replace them due to misuse. (I told them they stayed in the truck, sometimes on the dashboard.)
DUH, They're called S U N G L A S S E S !!!!!!!!

My experiejnce with Oakleys is that the lenses are great but pony the the cash for the metal frames. What they refer to as "o-matter" is really just cheap platic that breaks at the drop of a hat. For the money it's hard to beat Gargoyles. JMHO
I forget the models I have had, but for outdoor activities they work awesome. I wear mine all the time (have contacts... so sun glares bad sometimes). Mountain biking, on the jet ski, skiing (snow and water), pretty much anything outdoors and they alway's stay on and have been very durable (I just throw them in the backpack for school and when hiking). I have never lost a pair, and I dont even use anything to keep them on while in the water.
